One mans view
We need to open our eyes. Media is giving all of us to much of a negative influence. One of the most influential things in life is what we see, and what do we see? Television.Telivision dictates how we view the world. It dictates how we dress, and how we act. Now how do you think this,"little box" could do all this? Let's see. I'm sure you've seen the adds for whats hot and whats not. Who dictates all this? Not us. But we belive what we see on tv as if it's the real thing. You see a hott girl on tv. What does she look like? Why is she hott? Because someone told you she is hott? The media has made it so that you are not concidered an acceptable person unless you fall into these steriotypical catagories of "whats hot and whats not!" This bothers me, not for myself because I say fuck the media, but for our children. As they get older, growing, watching this "programing" thats says,"You can not be over weight!" You must wear designer clothes!, You can't be what you want to be! You must be what we want You to be or everyone will HATE YOU". My own sister actually said,"I want to be an individual just like all my friends!" This just shows you how smart our childeren are getting. Ahhh the tv generation. In a few years it's just going to be common for everyone to get plastic sugury. What's going to happen when we're all beautifull? When we're all perfect? What then? We will have a society fell of beautifull people and not a single one of them will be happy. We are so obsessed with our looks no one thinks about others.
Why can people not think for themselves? The brainwashed youth of this dying country already has the most dictation. There used to be very segregated "clicks". Used to be that your "click" usally was dictated by the kind of music you listen to or where you were from, but now, many of todays youth are collectively in one "click" there is no longer that segragation. Which can be good in some ways. People are becoming more excepting but in turn are all becoming the same. I belive that television has done so much harm. If you watch American movie classics you witness how life was simple in the 50s. I think it was the one time in history that life in america thrived. People were generally kind. But in time, due to the age where tv is king it has all been destroyed. America's "image" changed so the people had to follow. It seems to me that even the radical dreamers have already been corrupted. Those who rebel against conforming are being sucked into the craze. It's now "in" to rebel. Rebeling can't be done anymore because it's become mainstream. Everything is quickly becoming mainstream. Everything has been done. Every thought you could ever think has been thought so why even try right? Wrong. If none of us try to shake things up life wont be anything but orninary. We are what is standing between the new world order taking over. But it seems that the biggest focus of our pathetic species is to be excatly like everyone else. Yea! Why do we need to consider ourselves superior to all other creatures. Because we have the power of educated free will? What free will? Media has already striped that away from us. As a youth, when activists were saying that," TV rotts our brains," I thought," that is bullshit." But Then I grew older and realized they were fucking right. Take a good look. This is our reality.
