Greetings, This is mine, and other persons poetry that
Has captured my imagination and held it close to
my heart. I put these poems here either because I
made them, and enjoy them, or because teh have a
deeper meaning then the obvious.... This is a quote
but I will put it here anyways. Utter Silence, A
World Without You; Something SO Simple, The Memory Beyond.

A Change Of Seasons
Silenced is the Raven’s call,
Who flew away from us last fall, ++
The branched weave unto the sky,++
Soon these Winter days will die.++
++++

When Winter dies, what then will follow?++
Spring will leave my heart so hollow,++
No more laughs in childs play,++
They’ll out grow it too one day.++
++++

Summer fun, parties and beach,++
From the sun my hair will bleach,++
Quiet nights, in campfire light,++
We watch the sun sink out of sight.++
++++

Autumn has come, once again,++
The birds will fly in this season when,++
The trees change, their leaves fall,++
The year has past, good times and all.

++++
A sinking feeling hits me hard,++
From the surface I have fared, ++
Even thought I did not swim,++
The water holds my every limb,++
A helpless body laying here,++
I see a light, it’s growing near,++
I know I’m dieing, I can’t resist,++
Death has come, me it’s kissed.++

When your world falls apart, who will you turn too?++
When all is lost in despair, who can you trust?++
If man has grown so weary, that he, himself can die.++
Then what will happen, then what will we do?++

(This one is by Eric)
Darkness++
++++
In the dark parts of this world I know they are there++
They sit there hurting themselves cause they don’t care.++
They think no one cares about them and how they feel++
They hurt themselves to get away from what’s real.++
++++
You have many friends that can make the pain go away++
But in your mind you just don’t want them to stay.++
You push them aside so u can cause yourself pain++
Sitting in a darkened ally you hurt yourself in the rain.++
++++
Hurting yourself hurts the people who care for you++
When people say they love you, you think its not true.++
You tell yourself you are going to kill yourself one day++
But in your heart you know you have to stay.++
++++
A knife, a blade, something to that cut you good++
You want your world to end, in your eyes it should.++
In the end you will know only one thing can be done++
That the people who love you will stay with you as one.

Unnamed
(By my bro, Chris)++++

I wander now this empty street ++
I need a place to rest my feet++
I’m searching for a place I knew ++
I search until my face is blue ++
Each step I take is no progress ++
Asphyxiate, eternal rest. ++
I can’t escape this tragedy ++
But acceptance will never be easy. ++
They’re all gone now; of this I’m sure ++
They’ve all gone knocking on Heaven’s door ++
Why can’t I join them? I hear them call. ++
I know why. I’m afraid to fall.
++++
I step into this empty room ++
No fire on hearth, no flowers in bloom. ++
Decay is suffocating me ++
Emptiness is all I see. ++
Have you ever seen nothing at all? ++
I do now, I feel so small. ++
I call their names, no answer here ++
This silence I’m starting to fear ++
The dread, the gloom, when all is quiet ++
Because my mind is never silent. ++
I scream and curse this empty space ++
These memories I can’t embrace

++++
So quiet outside, this rage within. ++
I need some balance, some peace again. ++
I can’t go mad, but I can’t stay sane. ++
Because I know I’m not the same ++
As I once was, in days gone by ++
When I was not afraid to cry. ++
I’ll build my own world, safe inside ++
The meaning can no longer hide. ++
I’ll keep on searching, looking deep ++
Until the day I finally sleep. ++

Freedom? Or Not…
© Herlander Diogo Pinto

I want to speak
But my lips are sealed
I want to comment
But I’m told to be quiet

They tell us we are free
Then why can’t we speak
They tell us we are great
Then why are they afraid

They tell us we have the right to know
Tell me, why are we in the dark
They tell us we are the future
Tell us, why do we live in the past

If we are free
It is only because they tell us
If we really were free
They needn’t say a word
