April's A Gimp Again

A Story By Rachel Gosling

In one of our fabulous IT lessons, April was innocently being disruptive as usual singing "Reeheheheheheheheheehehehehee" or something to this nature (I actually know what the tune was she was singing I just really can't be bothered with it) when our IT teacher, Miss McShane (or Miss McBaldlady as we affectionatley call her... well, she HAS hair just very little of it...) finally flipped. For too long, had she had to put up with April's singalong sessions, face-pulling, colouring-in antics and other randomness such as telling BaldLady "We call the monkey Jack" and so on. But this, this was the finally straw...

While Miss McBaldlady sat fuming for a short while, April had actually stopped singing and was getting on with some work... Note this, it's important.

Anyway, we were ALL pretty much getting on in silemce (v.rare) when suddenly Miss McBaldlady screamed "STRANGE NOISES!!!!" and launched into a long lecture about April's bad behaviour. April sat all the way through it just blinking at her and trying to say something but she was always cut short. Finally, once Baldlady had stopped and said the old "Now what have you got to say for yourself?" April replied very calmly with "Um...I stopped."

I burst out laughing and Baldlady flipped out and separated us both.

Later on in the lesson, while I was getting on with work (ie: emailing people and printing off pictures of Orlando Bloom), April suddenly jumped off her chair and began to crawl very noisily towards me. There were a lot of chairs in her way and instead of moving them like any normal person, she just charged straight through them, sending them all over the place.

"Um..." said I. "I think Miss can see you."
"I can HEAR her, I think the entire school can." Said Miss McBaldlady.

April crawled under my table and insisted on staying there for a while, insisting she was "the hiding monkey".
