MUSIC,-LEADING CHILDREN TO DESTRUCTION, OR IS THAT JUST PLAIN BOLLOCKS?
What is it with adults & children these days? They always seem to be constantly at war with each other. The majority of adults blame the music industry for the way that children act & behave these days. But is that really for what is to blame?? Personally i would say no. It is not the parent's fault, or the music business. It is merely the child in itself which is to blame, that child makes their own desicions to do what they like & when they want to. Also, it is who they hang around with: If you are with a group of friends who drink; the chances are that you will probably drink to, if you are with a group of friends, obviously you would share the same interests, so why not the same cigarette? The same needles? I myself quit smoking & don't do drugs. (Well...i shouldn't have started smoking in the 1st place...i'm only 13!!) ^v^ Anywayz... if you like & appreciate music enough you will probably grow to admire the band & it's creators. But is there role models & going a little bit too far?? Look at Britney Spears. She is 22. She smokes, she drinks, yet many parents are slamming her for doing that when infact; they do the same themselves. The difference is that Britney used to be an icon to smaller audiences. She was 17/18 (i think). But now she's grown up she's being ridiculed & critisised for doing such.
I myself really do admire Billie-Joe Armstrong, Tre Cool & Mike Dirnt (Green Day), & it's easy to see why. Mike's mum was a heroin addict & he was given up for adoption as a baby. Tre was born into poverty; he didn't even have life insurance. And Billie-Joe's dad died when he was just 10. (Cancer) He gave Billie the infamous blue guitar, & since then he's never looked back. (& also had several replicas of it since). So it is easy to see why i look up to them. Billie-Joe & Mike were best friends since childhood, & it just goes to show that anybody can become sucessful, become rich without the privledged background. Unlike most bands these days, Green Day write their own songs. Tre once described Billie-Joe writing music as "The closest thing to magic that you'll ever see"
Music comes in many different varietys...punk, punk rock (pronk?) Rock, grunge, pop, RnB, hip-hop, rap, & is mainly divided into 3 groups. The rockers, the preppies, & the rudies. The preppies are all pinkie & girly, into puppie dogs & hang around in 2s & 3s talking about Peter Andre (what a gay!! I bet you any money his chest is plastic). The rudies hang around in groups of about 20 with a pit bull for the image, burberry caps & spit everywhere, also the girls usually dress in hardly anything. And the rockers are just induvidual. They don't give a shit what others think of them. They are themselves. I don't care what you're thinking when you read this; because this is my opinion & if you don't like it or you disagree...you know where to stick it!!
