Daniel woke up to find the house empty, with a note taped to his forehead warning him not to drink the coffee. He went to the kitchen, made a big sandwich, and prodded the coffee with a spoon. The coffee proceeded to eat the spoon, and Daniel coaxed into a thermos to be his friend. Roger and Lloyd came by to get Daniel and bring him to the rest of the group. Lloyd gave Daniel a ring which turned his hand green and enchanted him. The nockers brought Daniel out to the rest of the group, who were talking with the visiting nobles and trying to repair the balloon. Daniel was busy talking to Tom the Butterfly and being in awe of fairies when Rosi managed to explode the balloon. The noise made Cailean and Camera’s ears bleed. The boggan patched the hole up with some sod, and the nobles went on their way in the air while the party kept on the ground. Well-intentioned Lady Caroline and Cailean extinguished a brush fire that was actually a phoenix, which Rosi then captured in a chimera-ball. The phoenix’s friend, Sir Balthasar, was enraged and y and insisted on keeping Rosi’s chimera-ball with him until the phoenix, Valefor, was released. Daniel lulled the warring factions to sleep and he and Philyra smoked pot until they woke up again. Philyra took the chimera-ball and kept it in trust in her backpack. Camera, upon waking, led the way to a barn where a rickety RV was housed, and the party took to the road. Valefor was freed along the road and left behind to reignite himself and not get squished by a semi, which triggered the first occurrence of what is becoming a frequently repeated phrase (“Turn around”). The rest of the party was playing word association. They stopped to look for a gig at a place called The Wash, which was rather unfriendly to nobles. There was a prolonged argument about what Philyra would call Sir Balthasar (she was in the practice of calling him “Sir Balthasar, House Gwydion”), and the most popular suggestion was “Sloppy BJ.” Philyra and Camera went by an eshu shop, where Camera bought aphrodisiac candy for the satyr . Rosi went a secured a gig at a bar called The Randy Sluagh, where he seduced the bartender. Daniel went to Berkley’s Curios to see if anyone there could identify Sludgy. He met a sluagh with her mouth stitched shut named Allendy Burgess, who told Daniel that Sludgy ate metal. Sir Balthasar went supply shopping, accidentally went into a bar called The Rusty Zipper, was attacked by trolls, and eventually felled by the Hand of God. While Daniel, Philyra, and Camera played their gig under the band name “Radioactive Coffee” (the first suggestion, Flash Pot Filler, didn’t go over well), Rosi was having acrobatic with Sue Burgess, the sluagh bartender, in a back room. Philyra’s aphrodisiacs kicked in while playing Barry White, and she d Camera under the piano while Daniel went out for a smoke break. At the back of the bar were the bartender’s sisters, Allendy and Thaily… Thaily happens to be Camera’s ex-lover and was quite irked at hearing him have frantic with a satyr in the middle of a bar. She punched Camera and slapped Philyra, and locals with pitchforks came after them all. The group fled in their RV, and Rosi recaptured Valefor.
