Tagging (posting messages): To post a message or 'tag the board', type your username in the name box, and type your text into the text box at the bottom of the page. If you wish to have a specific website address or your email address displayed to other users, type it in the URL / EMAIL box below the name box. Then press the TAG key to post your message. Messages from all users scroll on the Tag-Board above. The most recent Tags are displayed from the top of the board. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Leaving the chat room: To exit the Tag-Board, simply leave the page. If you are using a browser that uses 'cookies', the Tag-Board will remember your username and url/email the next time you return. However you are free to change your username at any time. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Seeing other users email or website addresses: Hovering over another persons username on the Tag-Board will highlight their name, if they have provided an email/website address. Clicking on the name will either allow you to visit their website in a new window, or send that user an email. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Smilies: You may have graphical smilies within your tags. A wide-range of smilies that may be used can be found by clicking on the (smilies) link above the text text box. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Text can be bolded, italicized or underlined by encasing the applicable sections of your text with either the [b][/b], [i][/i] or [u][/u] actions. For example: [b]hello[/b] , will produce this: hello. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Creating Hyperlinks: To create a hyperlink for an e-mail or website address, type the address in the text box. The hyperlink will be created automatically. For example: littered_glitter@hotmail, in the textbox will automatically produce this: littered_glitter@hotmail.com ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Banning Users: Moderators can ban users at anytime by recording their IPaddress and denying access to the Tag-Board. While banned, the user may only read the Tag-Board, but will not be able to post any messages. Users are only banned in very extreme cases. |
