DEDICATION

This Year's Dedication Today's date is March the 11th, 2002 exactly six months after the attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon what follows is a small dedication to those who had their lives taken from them on September the 11th.

Each day I pledge my defiance against the tyranny of a corrupt governing system, against corporations that make business deals that only benefit the highest class in society, and finally I promise myself to not for fall these lies. This is my personal freedom, and that is how i hold it closely and dearly. On September the 11th in the early morning hours innocent people were raped of their freedom, and the cost was their lives. That night many husbands, wives, fathers, mothers, grandparents, aunts, uncles, sons, and daughters did not return home. Instead they were laid under a tombstone of mangled metal with an epitaph that read "Terrorism". For once a silence has fallen over us, an eerie quiet that we've never heard before. Gone is our arrogancethat nothing can ever hurt this nation, gone is the negativity for just a moment, just as the World Trade Center and just as a section of the Pentagon are gone. For the first time I'm praising military, fire departments, and police. Not for rushing in and doing their jobs, but for rushing in and not giving up hope. Not for their services, but for being humane. This is to be commended. The images we've seen on our tv's are devestating, but not as devestating as it is in person and for those who have to see and live this. Those who lost family, loved ones, or friends, we can't look back on what's happened and say it could have been prevented. Because in all honesty it could even have been predicted. Now we must move on, regardless of creed or race it's time to stand together as the United States. To show no fear in the face of what's been done. You can knock us down, hospitalize us, think you've won. But eventually we'll stand back up. We won't fall, nor will we forget what tragic events are burned into each of our minds and hearts. We live in a free country, where if you chose to say fuck the government you aren't publicly executed for thinking for yourself, a country where you are free to have your sexuality, you're free to have religion, these are things on which this nation was founded. So hold your dreams and goals with you. Never give in while in the face of attack. Stand tall with your chin up and a middle finger to any force preventing you from accomplishing your dreams. Because all dreams will come true someday. The innocent people who perished on board flights, within the buildings, and the streets below...this show is for them. For dying for no reason, for being robbed of watching their children grow up, for the children who didn't get to even live a full life, and for the rescue and recovery workers who've worked round the clock since the attack 6 months ago. The rubble is being cleared, life will continue on. The people of this nation refuse to be condemed for our governments actions. Terrorists, declare a full scale jihad. But be warned we are the people of the streets. While we have military to protect us, they are only a small number compared to the pissed off motherfuckers whose home you've attacked. Let the planes fall from the skies, we'll be in the streets waiting for you. We are never giving up, nor giving in. Like the forefathers that fought for freedom from Britan. Remember, we were once the rejected from European society..sent here because our ideals were to obscure for the theories of popular culture at the time. In 1776, those rejects declared their indepence from tyranny. In 2002, we stand united middle fingers in the air, unwavering. We will not become your victims. While I don't always agree with the actions of authority, I do not and will not allow someone else to tell me I'm less because of where I call home. We will not burn out, nor fade into the night. This is the reason Ghouls Night Out is dedicated in the memory of the lives lost.
