Jill Fell In A Hole

Jill Emery joined up with Courtney Love and Eric Erlandson of the band, Hole, in 1989. They kept on running into each other while Jill was playing with bands at different clubs. Jill Emery co-wrote some of the songs on Hole's first album, "Pretty On The Inside" and did the artwork that is shown on the back cover. Although there is some mystery surrounding why Jill left Hole, it has been written that Jill abruptly left the band after a Hole show in L.A. in 1992. She then went on to work on various musical projects with Eva O., singer with the Superheroines, whom Jill had played with, and the band Jill was invited to join by Eva, The Shadow Project. "She was great, she was all over the floor, I wanted her bad. Her name was Jill Emery. I thought 'she has to be in my band!!'" Courtney once said about Jill. Later, Courtney said that Eva "stole Hole's bass player".
