The group walked, except for Bryce, who was trying not to be annoying to Lex.  They were now in a different kind of ground, there seemed to be no vegetation, they must have been in carnivore territory. "Look up there," said Bryce, pointing to a large piece of rubble. "What is it?" asked Jo. "I hid a weapon there for safety purposes," explained Lex. "I knew Luther is a little rat, so I hid it there just in case!" continued Bryce.

"Set him down, we can rest right here" said Chris. "That's not such a good idea, we are in carnivore territory. I guess we could at least rest for a couple of minutes" pointed out Bryce. Lex sat down Bryce and looked inside the rubble, sure enough there was a huge blaster.

"Could you bring me that?" asked Bryce. "Sure," replied Lex. Lex walked over and slide out the gun from its protective case-thingy.

"Thanks!" said Bryce. "Next time we see Luther lets blow em' to smithereens!" shouted Jo. "Good idea!" replied Chris. The group kept on making jokes about Luther, about how he was such a coward and all.

Lex heard a sniffing noise from behind him from, it was the Spinosaurus. He was smelling Bryce's blood! Spinosaurus' have a keen sense of smell, especially when their hungry. "Bryce, he smells the blood, RUN!" whispered Lex.

The group listened, at that the Spinosaurus road a terrible roar and set off after them! "Bryce, give me your hand!" shouted Lex. "No! Leave me here, I am no use if you carry me, both of us shall be eaten, you run along and leave me! Go!" shouted Bryce in the confusion. "Never, come with me!" shouted back Lex. "God dammit! Hoist me up on top of that piece of garbage, I shall hold it off while you run away!" yelled Bryce. "If that is your wish," Lex said sadly, lifting him up. Bryce was very brave, brave enough to give his life for the other's.

"I can carry you!" said Lex in last attempt to save his brave friend. "I told you! That's an order!" shouted Bryce. "I shall stay with you then," announced Lex. "No you won't, do you want me to shoot you instead of that Spino who is dreadfully getting closer?" asked Bryce. "Sure"

"Leave me!" yelled Bryce. "Fine, let me just help you" yelled Lex over the loud noise of the Spinosaurus stomping feet. "1,2,3 NOW!" shouted Lex. Bryce pulled the trigger and watched the missile sail through the air.

Direct hit! It hit the Spinosaurus right in its underbelly! This made the Spinosaurus confused, giving Bryce time to brainwash Lex to leave. Lex finally left, he was forced by Bryce pointing the gun right at Lex's head. The Spinosaurus easily shook off the blow, Bryce knew it. His main goal was to fill up the Spinosaurus, so it would be too full to eat his friends.

The Spinosaurus found the blood source and picked it up with its knife-blade teeth. Bryce didn't scream, he simply let it devour him.

Like some humans, the Spinosaurus likes to play with its food. It whipped up Bryce Klamp in the air, with enough force to make him get whiplash.

The Spinosaurus easily caught Bryce's body in its mouth, it thrashed its head and Bryce was soon dead. The Spinosaurus killed Bryce.

The Spinosaurus finished its meal out of sight of Lex and the others.

Lex and Chris were talking in a safe place. "That was a very brave thing you did" said Chris. "It was Bryce," said Lex. "Hey, WHERE IS JO???" yelled Chris. "I thought she went with us!" shouted Lex in panic.  "Lets go back to the compound and see if she is there, if not I shall look for her after. Lex and Chris headed back to the compound. MEANWHILE...

Jo panicked, she assumed the Spinosaurus was still after her, she ran back to the place where she last left her diving suit, near the fallen Parasaur. She was shocked not to find the Parasaur wasn't there, but a trail of blood was! It must have been dragged away by a predator or something thought Jo. The capture crane was still there with her suitcase beside. She had no time to waste.

Jo opened her case and begun to change, she hated the look of the blood! She changed because she wanted to dive into the nearby river and because she felt uncomfortable in clothes that she had touched Bryce's blood in; the Spinosaurus could smell it still probably!

Jo put on her suit and headed for the river. She left her remaining clothes in her suitcase. Jo checked her air, it worked. She checked all her worries and everything was working fine.

Jo made it to the river, it was a freshwater one! It was very nice looking, Jo prepared to jump in the cold water.

Jo did a perfect silent dive, which she learned at her diving classes. It didn't make a loud noise, she slid into the water. Jo scanned the bottom, it was a lot more murky then she had imagined. Jo set off downstream and came to clear water...
