Summary: Ben asks Matt for a favour that causes unforeseen complications.

Part 1/2

“You’ve got to help me!” Ben Affleck, my best friend and secret crush shouted as he ran into my home.

“Please, come in (!)” I said with a wry grin, waiting for Benny to explain, he would get there eventually.

Ben said pacing around the room, “Know that film I’m doing with Nick? Well I’ve got to do a love scene and I can’t do it!”

I grinned remembering how excited Ben had been about getting the lead in the film opposite Nicholas Brendon, the actor who played Xander Harris in the Buffy The Vampire Slayer series. The film was a gay love story called Blood, Love and Honour set in the American military and was sure to get Ben the acclaim he deserved. The weird thing was that the main characters were called Ben and Matt.

Benny was playing the role of Benjamin Anderson a Lieutenant who falls in love with another member of his squad called Matthew Davis. It had already caught the attention of the public and filming only started a month ago.

“What do you mean you can’t do it? Is it because you're kissing a guy?” I said confused. Ben was comfortable with homosexuality, it probably more normal to us than most straight couples.

Ben said with a sigh, “Yeah, but not how you mean. I just clench up when I’ve got to kiss him, I can’t help it.”

“I’ll help you, between the two of us we can make sure you don’t look a mess.” I said with a grin, finally I would get to kiss him even if it was only for a role!

“Thanks, you don’t know what this means to me.” Ben said with a killer smile.

Resisting the temptation to jump for joy I said, “That’s okay, you’d do the same for me. Now, have you got the script?”

Ben said with a faint blush, “Er…no it’s at my place but we can improvise. Now Nick’s character is supposed to take me out for a meal and then we go clubbing. The whole romance bit.”

“Okay, just how involved is the love scene?” I said praying it would go too far; I couldn’t take advantage of him like that.

“Nick’s character is supposed to give me a blow job, and then we cut to the next morning.”

“We can practise that later,” I laughed, not revealing how much I wished I could actually do that to Ben.

Ben said with an easy grin, “Sure, so can we start this?”

“Just let me get changed.” I said walking into the bedroom, maybe if I focused on the fact that it was only a role I wouldn’t get too involved?

Ben said nervously, “You do realise that we’ll have to be a little affectionate and romantic in public?”

“Yeah, don’t worry. Most people already think we’re dating. You must have heard all the rumours?” I said with a grin deciding not to admit how much I wished it was true.

Ben replied unsure, “I guess so. You should all the stuff online about us dating, there are like whole sites and communities dedicated to us as a couple.”

I smiled as I considered just what I was going to wear, trying to convince myself I was only taking so long to decide because it would help me get into the role. Then I shrugged; maybe if I treated tonight like a real date it would be enough?

“I’m going to get changed,” I said leaving the room seconds later heading straight to my closet.

I was going to wear black pants with a blue shirt that I had been told perfectly matched my eyes. I showered quickly my stomach doing summersaults when I thought about Ben waiting for me.

I walked back to the living room to find Ben watching MTV, he didn’t look nervous on the outside but that didn’t mean anything. He was a great actor so it was often difficult for most people to guess his emotions. I was a little shocked to see Ben biting his lip, a clear sign that he was nervous.

Were his nerves simply because this was going to be his first date with a man or due to the fact that we were going out as a couple in public? Perhaps there was another reason Ben was nervous, like maybe he had feelings for me?

I dismissed that thought almost as soon as it began, I couldn’t be that lucky. The chances of having Ben return my feelings were pretty remote. I hadn’t noticed anything and I would have seeing how I spend most of my time watching him. Ben had probably only picked me because I was his best friend, because he’s comfortable with me.

“Ready to go, Benny?” I asked with a grin.

Ben looked me up and down before giving a low whistle, “Whoa, Matty. When you rehearse you really get into the role! I don’t know how I’m going to stop everyone from hitting on you at Nightshade.”

“I just figured that if I’m going to help I need to get into the role. Are you sure you want to go to the Nightshade?” I asked a little surprised that Ben wanted to go to one of the most popular gay clubs in LA.

Looking down at his clothes Ben said, “Yeah. Do I look alright?”

“Want to borrow one of my tops?” I offered before walking back into the bedroom to find something suitable. Finally deciding on a black figure hugging tank top. I threw it to Ben and then left the room, on the pretence of going to get a drink.

“I’m ready whenever you are!” Ben called into the kitchen holding my black leather trench coat for me.

I took the offered coat before leading the way out of the house. I was walking in front mainly because I didn’t want to be caught ogling Ben’s cute ass. Even so I had a difficult time trying to control my urge to just pounce Benny there and then.

"Where are we going for our date?" Ben asked as we walked outside.

“Lucien’s. I think it’s romantic enough, don’t you?” I asked with a grin as Ben got into the car. Lucien’s was the kind of place you took someone to propose.

“Anywhere would be romantic as long as you’re with me,” Ben said a strange look on his face.

I just smiled and placed my hand over Ben’s on the gear stick. It looked like we were really going to so this. Ben was really getting into the role, would I be strong enough to resist temptation?

“You think we can get in there?” Ben asked wryly because the restaurant had a waiting list of a month.

Confidently I answered, “Yeah. I’ve got a friend there.” I knew Isaac would do his best to give us a table.

As I pulled up outside the restaurant, Ben turned to me with a nervous smile on his face.

Ben said quickly, “I think we should practice our kissing before we go in. I mean, we’ll have to be a little affectionate in public. It’s not like too many people will be looking at us, here.”

I nodded and gently brushed my lips against his, groaning into the kiss when I felt Ben’s arms on the back of my neck pulling me closer.

Before I knew what was happening, I felt Ben’s hands caressing my back, the kiss got quickly intense. Feeling myself getting a little too excited I broke the kiss with a smile.

“You’re a great kisser,” I commented looking up at Ben. I avoided looking at his mouth knowing if I did, I would have to kiss him.

Ben smiled impishly, “Not as good as you. No wonder you haven’t got any girlfriend, you’re probably too much for them to handle.”

“Thanks, Benny. Come on,” I said squeezing Ben’s hand before getting out of the car.

We walked towards the Italian restaurant, so close that our shoulders brushed together with each step. A part of me was relishing being this close to the man I loved while the other was screaming that it was too dangerous, that I would somehow reveal my feelings.

Lucien’s was busy as it usual, making me wonder if I could actually get us in. Spying Isaac I walked over to my friend and the owner of the restaurant hoping I would be successful. Ben remained at the door, watching us with an amused grin.

“Hey, I really need a favour-” I started briefly regretting what I was going to do.

Isaac just grinned, “Sure, what is it?” Looking over my shoulder, his eyes widened as he said, “You need a table? You can have the one by the fountain, it should be romantic enough. I’m so happy for you!”

I looked over at Ben and gave a cocky grin. We followed Isaac to our table, which was in the middle of the room. I sat down doing my best to ignore the happy smirk on Isaac’s face.

“What did you say to him, Matt?” Benny asked seconds after Isaac finally left us alone with two glasses of apple juice. He had obviously heard that Ben had gone into rehab for drinking.

I smirked, “Nothing. It’s all down to my charming personality.”

“Oh, so that’s why he winked at me?” Ben laughed.

I gave a mischievous grin, “No, he winked at you because he thinks you’re going to propose or something.”

Ben said wryly, “He’s going to be unhappy when he finds out I’m not going to get down on one knee in here.”

We both ordered the lasagne and ignored the waiter who was looking at us with something like shock. Exactly what he was shocked at I didn’t know, then looking down at the table I realised Ben was holding my hand.

On the table, where everyone could see, obviously he wasn’t bothered by the rumours.

Ben said seriously, “Thanks for doing this, Matt. Not many people with agree to go on a date with their best friend just to help the best friend with a job.”

“I would do anything for you, Ben.” I answered mentally groaning I as realised what I had said.

If I carried on like this he was going to figure out my feelings in no time. I smirked as Ben just looked me in the eyes and blushed faintly. He had never looked more gorgeous not even in all the photos I have of him from magazines.

We ate in a companionable silence slowly we started talking about what had happened in the month since we had really seen each other and what we were considering for our next film.

Somehow the topic changed to our love lives; I don’t know how it happened but I found myself admitting to Ben that I was in love with someone and had been for a long time.

“You never know, maybe this mystery person returns your feelings,” Ben said an enigmatic gleam in his eyes.

Breaking eye contact I looked at my watch and gestured for the waiter saying, “We had better get going. Are you sure about this?”

Ben said seriously, “Yeah.” With an impish grin he continued, “I still don’t know how I’m going to stop every guy at Nightshade from hitting on you. Maybe I should put a sign on your head saying property of Ben?”

“Hitting on me!” I exclaimed in shock. I said softly, “You’re the one who look like sex on legs.”

I gave the waiter my credit card as I talked. The waiter gasped at our words before giving me the check with a slight blush. From the sparkle in Ben’s eyes I knew the older man had noticed the waiter’s reaction.

“I think we broke the waiter,” Ben commented with an unrepentant grin as the man walked away.

Leading the way to the cloakroom I said, “I’m sure Ike will forgive us.”

I passed Ben his coat and asked him to wait a couple of seconds while I thanked Ike.

“You’ve got to tell me everything later!” Ike said eagerly pushing me towards Ben and the door.

Nightshade was a mass of bodies dancing to the pounding seductive beat of the music. I was pleased to see that no one had noticed us, to them we were just another two men out for a good time. Everything was going perfect, at least that’s what I thought until Ben left me alone while he got some drinks.

A happy brunette with blue eyes asked me, “I’ve been watching you since you came in. Dance with me, man!”

The man was dressed in black pants and a figure hugging red shirt that showed his toned body. I knew I had seen him before but where?

Hoping Ben would turn up I answered, “Thanks but I came with someone.”

The man shouted in my ear, “That doesn’t mean you have to go home with them! The name’s Jayce.”

Ben appeared at my side and narrowed his eyes at the stranger, “What’s going on here? What are you doing to him?”

“I was just talking to him, there’s no law against that.” Jayce said with a laugh.

Ben dismissed Jayce angrily, “He doesn’t want to talk to you!”

Turning to me Ben shouted to be heard over the music, “I knew I should’ve put a sign on your head saying property of Ben. I bet all you did was look at the poor man, you really need to stop looking so hot when we go out!”

“Chill Benny. I’m sure Jayce can easily find someone else to dance with,” I said softly.

Jayce said with a smirk leaving us alone, “God, you two are *so* married!”

Part 2/2

We just stared at the space Jayce had been occupying in shock, I was just worrying that somehow I had let my feelings for Ben show. If I did Ben would never treat me the same.

“Matt, want to dance?” Ben asked with a smile.

I answered with a cocky grin, “Sure. Can you keep up with me?”

We walked out amongst the mass of dancing bodies and as Ben turned to me a slow song started. I was prepared to move off the dance-floor, only to find Benny putting his arms around me, pulling me up against his body.

I smiled and placed my head on Benny’s chest. I may not have him in real life but I could dream? There was no foul there, right? We danced for what felt like an eternity, swaying gently to the music. I didn’t have any idea what song was playing and it didn’t matter. The only thing that mattered was the fact that I was in Ben’s arms.

Ben gently put a hand on my neck, tilting my head up. I opened my mouth to ask him what he was doing but before I could Ben thrust his tongue inside my mouth. I groaned and moved even closer to Ben, so close I could feel his heartbeat.

I was called back to the earth by the sound of whistling, I broke the kiss with a pant and looked around. Everyone in the club was staring at us, cheering and whistling. I grinned at our audience blushing slightly. Benny took my hand and led the way through the smirking people.

“Want to go back to your place?” Ben asked me a gleam in his eyes.

I nodded, “Sure.”

We walked out still holding hands looking at each other from time to time. I drove back to my home in a state of confusion and worry. What did the kisses mean? Had Ben figured out my feelings for him?

“It’s okay, Matty.” Ben said with a grin after I closed my front door behind me with a bang.

I took a deep breath, “Sit down, Benny. I guess we need to talk.”

Ben sat down right next to me, sideways so that he was facing me. As much as I loved Ben his close proximity was beginning to be a problem. How was I supposed to resist him when he was sitting so close to me looking edible?

Ben said seriously, “I have something to tell you, please don’t hate me.”

“Nothing could ever make me hate you, Benny.” I said honestly, confused as to where Ben was going with this.

“Matt, I’m in love with you. Don’t worry I’m not going to chase you. I know you’re straight.”

I just stared at him with my mouth open amazed at what I heard. I pinched myself to make sure it wasn’t a dream. Satisfied it wasn’t I looked over at Benny who was looking down at the chair.

I swallowed a sudden lump in my throat, “Benny. You don’t know how happy I am to hear you say that. I’m in love with you, have been for years.”

“You what? Really?” Benny said looking at me, tears in his eyes.

I grinned, “Yeah. God I love everything about you.”

I don’t know which of us moved first but suddenly we were kissing. Devouring each other by the mouth. We both moaned as Benny moved to lie on top of me.

I gasped out between kisses, “Would you…will you make love to me? I want you inside me.”

“Matty, nothing would make me happier. Let’s move to your bedroom.” Ben said taking my hand.

We walked to the bedroom, stopping every couple of steps to kiss.

Pulling me into the bedroom, Benny started undoing my clothes as I concentrated on getting Ben naked as fast as possible.

Seconds later we were both naked, Ben roughly pushed me onto the bed and looked around for something to use as lube.

Spotting the tube of lube on the bedside table, Ben moved it over to the bed and liberally coated his fingers. He gently placed his fingers inside me scissoring them gently stretching the passage.

I moaned in frustration, needing more. All I wanted was to feel Ben inside me loving me as I had dreamed of. I knew Ben was just trying to make sure that our first time wasn’t painful but all I wanted was Benny inside me right away.

“Benny, please!” I shouted gripping the sheets.

Benny kissed my neck as he inserted his oiled cock inside me. With agonising slowness he started to move. Gradually he increased the speed and depth of his thrusts, pumping my cock in time with his thrusts.

“I love you!” I screamed seconds before I came over the sheets. I gasped and panted feeling Benny come inside me coating my ass with his come, with a shout of, “Matty!”

I groaned as he pulled out, cuddling him and pulling the covers over us with one hand. Benny just smiled at me and kissed my forehead before closing his eyes.

I woke to the feeling of someone kissing their way down my neck. I smiled as I opened my eyes to find Ben looking at me with a sappy smile on his face. I knew that I could never be happier than I was in that moment.

“Ben, what are we now? Are we dating?” I asked worried about how he would answer. I figured we were dating but I had to ask, it wouldn’t be right to just assume.

Ben smiled at me, “Yeah, we’re dating. You’re my lover, my partner and my best friend.”

“God, I love you!” I said before kissing Ben showing him just how much I loved him.

“Want to go shopping, Matty? I know how much you love it.” Ben asked when we surfaced for air.

“Yeah!” I said excitedly making Ben laugh.

I love shopping, I’ll admit it. I find it relaxing and thankfully I’m rarely recognised so I don’t have to worry about crowds.

One hour later we were ready to head out, it was almost seven a.m. So hopefully there wouldn’t be many crowds. Luckily we had taken separate showers as we had both agreed that a joint shower would take too long.

“Want to drive?” I asked Ben as we walked outside.

“Sure. What do you want to do tonight?”

I fastened my seatbelt as I answered, “How about we spend the night at my place? I don’t feel like facing the crowds.”

Ben started the car and started down the road before answering, “I know how you feel. I want to just spend time with you alone.”

I switched on the radio grinning when Nsync’s Celebrity came on. It seemed that all the radio stations played was boyband music. I froze realising where I had recognised Jayce from, it was JC out of Nsync.

The DJ stopped the song and said, “Congratulations to Matt Damon and Ben Affleck who were seen kissing in Nightshade last night. Congratulations on coming out, guys. This song if for them by Leann Rimes called Together, Forever, Always.”

I looked at Ben in shock, Ben was breathing a little fast. I wondered if I should ask him to pull over so we could talk it over. We had only got together six hours ago and we were already out. How would this affect our relationship?

“Don’t worry, everything will be okay.” Ben said to me as we reached the mall.

I smiled at Ben saying, “If you want we can tell people that we were rehearsing for a part.”

“I’m not ashamed of us, we can handle it. I mean there are plenty of gay actors in Hollywood.” Ben said seriously.

“I know you’re not. So we’re out, maybe I should tell my mom about us.” I answered as we got out of the car and headed into the mall.

Ben laughed, “She probably won’t be surprised. She must have heard all the rumours.”

“Yeah. Now I need to find you some sexy clothes.” I said seriously eyeing the shops carefully.

Ben just grinned, “You trying to say I don’t have style, babe?”

I shook my head, “I never said that. I would just love to see you in leather pants. It’s a fantasy of mine.”

As we walked, Ben held my hand making me grin. I liked it, the feeling of walking around with Ben holding hands. It was great not having to worry that someone would guess my feelings for Ben.

“What do you think of these babe?” Ben asked as he walked out of the changing room.

I looked at him and gaped. He was wearing a pair of black leather pants that looked like they were painted on and a translucent red shirt which had a v-neck and slits down the sides. I laughed, noticing that the hickey I had given him was glaringly obvious with the new shirt.

Wow.You look great! Get them!” I said regaining the power of speech.

“Okay. Oh, I picked this up for you!” Ben said throwing me a T-Shirt. I looked at it and laughed as it said, I dig sexy white guys.

“I’ll be back in sec, I’m just going to the toilet.” Ben said as we approached a music shop.

“See you later, baby.” I said before Ben walked away.

I quickly walked into a jewellers knowing what I wanted. I picked out a silver Celtic cross and brought it. I knew Benny would love it.

I walked to the music shop and picked up Affirmation by Savage Garden and Songs In A Minor by Alicia Keys.

I had just paid for them when I felt a hand on my ass, I spun round only to find Ben looking back at me with an impish grin. Ben just smiled at me and wrapped an arm around my waist.

I said as we left the shop, “Benny. I was thinking about something-”

Ben smiled at me saying, “I know this might be a little soon but I’ve been in love with you for the last year and a half. Can I buy a ring for you?”

“I was going to ask you the same thing. How about we buy a set?” I said seriously.

Ben nodded saying with a grin, “Sure. Do you want them engraved?”

“I was thinking on mine I could put My Beloved Is Mine.” I said thoughtfully.

“And I Am His.” Ben said finishing my quotation.

We walked into the jewellers I had been in just minutes before. This time a man served us. His eyes widened in recognition then he calmed himself.

We looked over the rings for a couple of minutes before deciding on a plain platinum band. We smiled at each other and walked over to the counter.

“How can I help you gentlemen?” The salesman asked politely.

Squeezing my hand Ben said, “We would like this set of white gold rings. Can you engrave one with My Beloved Is Mine and the other with And I Am His?”

The man smiled at us happily, “Of course. I’ll rush it through for you, come back in an hour. Congratulations.”

Benny and I just smiled at each other and walked down to one of the small coffeehouses. I let Ben order, enjoying people watching. I always considered it as good practice to watch people; you never knew when you might have to improvise for a role.

“Having fun?” Ben asked with a grin as he returned with our drinks.

“Always. You want to call your family first or should I call mine?” I answered pouring sugar into my cup.

“It doesn’t matter. Have I told you that you look great today?”

I stopped and made a show of thinking over the question. Finally I said with a frown, “No you haven’t.”

Benny smiled, “Well you look wonderful, and I love you.”

“I love you too.” I said with a grin.

We walked back to the jewellery store holding hands. I felt like I was walking on air the whole time.

Everything around us was crazy but all that mattered was each other. I had found true happiness for the first time in my life. Life was perfect all because of a little favour.
