One long night, a thousand years ago, a horde of Dark elves and undead massed upon the camp from nowhere. The four central camps were destroyed and the remaining three, reduced greatly in numbers, fled north, south east and south west.
The group that fled north held the scroll of the Si'dar, the lord of planes of existence. They walked for many months until stopping in a frozen forest in the north of Edreja. As the years passed by, the forest became known as The Vanamoiinnen Forest in the Northern Wastes. The Navasioux here could not tolerate the cold and many of them died before they could adapt. In the year 1102, only two of the Si'dar remain.
The group that fled to the southeast built a great vessel and left Lyoness for the desert lands of the south. They became sand dwellers on the Maurabia/Aegyptus border. Many raiders and savages attacked the noble tribe and they too depleted. They Danzi settlers held the scroll of the Keeper of Souls. They became the Namori.
No records have been found of the southwest tribe.
The Year 1102 In the year 1100, Chief Spirius of the Namori left the desert. His people were falling to the barbarian raiders and he sought to reunite his people. He left the southern continent and journeyed to the west upon landing. There he found the remains of Navasioux rituals. Finding no elves he ventured north and feeling a strange pull, he found himself in the Vanamoiinnen Forest. There he met the Chief of the Si'dar, Omino Goldenmoon. Omino agreed to send word to the Namori that they should relocate to the forest.
A messenger falcon was deployed and the Two chiefs spent many weeks exchanging history of the tribe. The Navasioux was reunited. The forests borders were breached. Omino insisted that their home would be safe but Spirius sent envoys to encounter the intruders. The Navasioux had met the rulers of the area, the Wolf Faction. They agreed to join the ranks of the Wolf army in 1102

History
The Rangers of Vetreheim were once known as The Navasioux Tribe. The Tribe was destroyed long ago but for a hundred or so of its people. It is thought that this atrocity was an unprovoked attack by drow of an unknown allegiance. The survivors spread in three groups, to the north, to the south (overseas) and the third group has not yet been encountered by those of us who have reformed what was once a flourishing tribe of peace-loving elvenkin.
The southern tribe was eradicated by raiders on the border of Maurabia in the year 1100. Only two survived, a half-elf Spirius and his mate Eleanaya. They traveled north, searching for their brothers and eventually came upon the last survivor of the northern tribe - Finordil. For a while, they lived in peace as Finordil had done for years, holding back from any dangers or travelers in the Vanamoiinen forest. This existence proved to be too constrictive for Spirius and he took the what was left of the Navasioux to the Gathering of Nations in 1102. There, they found security within the Wolves Faction and fought in the ranks.
Now Spirius patrols the Crown of Thorns, keeping quarters in Gunnarsheim. Finordil and Eleanaya await his return in the Vanamoiinen Forest. Since arriving in Vetreheim, wanderers descended from the original tribe have made their way north, as if following a call and every day brings new hope that the old tribe will be reunited under the present incarnation - The Rangers of Vetreheim.
The Navasioux Ancestors are;
Upper Courtiers
Latia - of Air
Wern - of Land
Riark - of Sea
Samura - of Time and the Planes of Existence
Exile
Torla - The Godhunter
Minor Courtier
Danzi - Keeper of Souls
Unfortunately, 200 years ago an attack on my people destroyed four camps and the tablets were lost but I retain knowledge of the remaining three.
Samura was the creator, he governs time, love, emotion and concepts too deep for us to fathom. He has no form.
Torla was once a high courtier of Samura alongside Latia, Wern and Riark but he became corrupt and became a hunter of our ancestors. He symbolizes ever present danger in those around us. His form is the torso of a man and the tail of a snake and he wields a giant double-bladed sword. It is said that his essence was locked in an amulet which was lost in the attacks on my people.
Danzi was a minor courtier of the Gods. A bard if you will. He plays an ocarina-like instrument and takes the form of a small pixie, clad in black his face shadowed. Before death, we see him jig towards us to his melodies swinging a lantern which he draws through us, taking our soul, whereupon he carries us to the afterlife.
