My favorite Sister is Becca, the pledgemaster. My favorite Plegde is Jessica. I really have no clue as to why I like this show. I don't usually buy into the "reality" shows. Maybe it has something to do with that it was filmed in my senior year at CSU, Chico, a mere hour and a half north of UC Davis and the fact that Chico and Davis have a history of being rivals, AND the fact that I actually rushed a sorority my sophomore year in college!

Episode 1 & 2
Welcome to UC Davis and rush week for Sigma. The sisters of Sigma hope to get a good, solid group of pledges through rush week because 10 sisters are graduating. As the first evening begins, the sisters are immediately thrown off by the "type" of girls that appear to be interested in the sorority. Pauli is annoyed and believes that many of them have shown up for the wrong reasons.
After the meet 'n greet, the sisters gather to dissect the evening. The majority don't have a good feeling about the rushees, mainly because of how attractive many of them are. A discussion ensues about asking the rushees direct questions about their religious affiliation. Leslie feels this is highly inappropriate, and that it isn't right to "judge a book by its cover".
The next night's event is a sorority/fraternity luau. At this time, several of the sisters begin to ask the rushees whether or not they're Jewish. This makes several rushees uncomfortable, but relaxes most of the sisters about their intentions.
The last event is "Dressy Dessert" at the pledge house. Leslie has a conversation with two sisters about how when she joined, most sisters didn't like her and were unwilling to give her a chance. So, naturally, she is adamant about giving everyone a chance. Later it's time for final selection and vote. Finally, the sisters begin preparations to hand out bids.
After the bids have been handed out, it's time for induction night - all of the pledges are ecstatic. On Friday morning, the five girls that have been selected to live in the pledge house move in. Jordan and Amanda arrive early because they don't want to share a room with anybody. Candace and Mara arrive next and decide to share a room. Dede is last to arrive because of a class, and she takes one of the beds in the last room ... leaving one empty bed in the house.
Becca and Rachel hand out binders with the pledge house rules, and they meet with the pledges to go over them. None of the pledges particularly like the house rules, and they feel that they're being treated like babies. Jordan especially does not like the rule about no boys after 11:00. That night, the pledges go to Jordan's boyfriend's apartment to hang out, where Candace decides to climb on a pool table. Becca and some other sisters go by the pledge house to check on the pledges, and they're quite surprised to find nobody home.
Episode 3
Now that the house rules have been established, the true test begins. After hours spent preparing for the night's rush events, the pledges gather with other Greeks and dance the night away. Some of the girls begin to fear that Jordan is not portraying the sisterhood in a positive light. The pledges go to the sisters with their concerns about Jordan breaking house rules and being too much of a party girl. Becca decides that it's time Jordan is confronted on her behavior.
After the weekly meeting, the sisters ask to speak with Jordan outside. Becca reveals what's being said about her and that they're concerned that Jordan's intentions were not good. But Jordan reassures the sisters that her intentions are pure and that she really wants to be in the sorority.
Then the girls attend a sisterhood activity, where they go indoor rock climbing and seem to have a good time and really get to know each other. After the climbing, the pledges are taken to a causeway, where they have to move huge rocks into the formation of their letters. This activity is supposed to make the girls get to know each other even better. They're cold and tired, but they get the rocks moved and are congratulated by their sisters.
After much discussion and concern about whether or not a sixth person will be moving into the house, Jessica moves in and gets a very cold welcome. The girls don't make her feel at home, because they feel that she was sent to the house to "spy" on them because the sisters don't think they follow all the house rules.
Episode 4
There is tension in the house as the girls try to adjust to Jessica's presence. They can't figure out whether or not she's been planted to spy on them. Jessica walks in while Jordan and Candace are talking about her and how they can't tell where she stands on anything.
Amanda, Mara, Jordan, and Jordan's boyfriend Justin go to dinner. Justin gets a phone call, and he lies to Jordan about who called him. Jordan gets rip-roaring mad and decides she doesn't want to deal with Justin's games anymore.
Meanwhile, school is getting in the way of Candace's partying, and she can't seem to get her schoolwork done. She decides to volunteer to be the "sober sister" in order to read a book and write a paper, but this proves to be too much for her. She ends up drinking in the house with Jordan, Amanda, and Mara. Jessica calls her for a ride, and Candace lies and says that she loaned her car to some friends. Leah and Leslie give Jessica a ride home, and they come into the pledge house, where the four drinkers are almost caught.
Episode 5
Picnic Day is a UC Davis tradition. The sisters have a barbecue at the sorority house, and everyone meets each other's families. The pledges go buck wild, and Candace's parents come into town for her 21st birthday.
Candace, Jordan, Amanda and Mara go out with Candace's parents to celebrate her birthday, and they all end up getting really drunk. Plastered! When they get home, Jordan, Amanda, and Candace pile into the hot tub. Jordan gets up to go into the house and falls down into a pile of mud.
The sisters meet to talk about the pledges' behavior and how it can be addressed. They decide to call a meeting. Becca calls the house and asks Jessica to spread the word, but she tells Jessica that she does not have to be at the meeting because there have been no reported problems with her.
At the meeting to address the concerns, the pledges get very upset. They feel like the sisters are not trying to understand that they have been singled out, they are not included in everything, and they each have so many things on their plate. Jordan cries, and not very much is accomplished. The meeting ends with no apparent resolution - only the sisters feeling that they have done what they need to do.
Episode 6
Mara, Jordan and Candace talk individually about how they took to each other very easily because they're all outgoing and fun. The girls still feel uncomfortable with Jessica, and Candace feels the division between them and Jessica is going to get worse. The sisters have a meeting concerning the pledges - Leslie is worried about cliques forming, while Leah wants to somehow blend the pledges together.
The sisters meet with the pledges. One of the pledges displays her concerns that the pledge house divides the pledges. She thinks that the pledges as a whole won't be able to grow together. Becca announces that there will be three days when everyone will spend the night at the pledge house.
In-house retreat - Day 1
The girls play "getting to know you" games. Jessica really wants to bridge together the pledges from the house with the pledges not living in the house. The pledges leave the house messy, and the pledge house sisters get annoyed. Amanda, Candace and Jordan leave the house to get a drink at the bar, and on the way home they bump into Leslie, who doesn't look too happy. Later that night, Jordan jokes with Candace about how she looks like "a twelve-year-old boy." Candace gets extremely offended and apologizes to Jordan for not being perfect like her.
In-house retreat - Day 3
Candace tells Jordan that she's obsessed with her looks. Jordan admits that she's insecure with herself, and that she cares about her physical outside because she thinks it's the only thing she can control. Candace says she wants to get closer to Jordan by understanding her, but Jordan won't let her get close. Everyone's talking about how they can't wait until in-house is over so they can get back to a quieter, less hectic environment where they can concentrate.
Jessica, Candace, Amanda and Jordan talk in the kitchen, and the girls ask Jessica if she would tell anyone if they happened to drink in the house. Jessica admits that she drinks, but not in the house, and if they want to do that, it's their decision.
Episode 7
Jordan and Amanda talk individually about how they feel about each other - they admit that since they're such good friends, they tend to take things more personally than with someone they might not know as well. The sisters all get together to do a "trust fall" activity to build trust between them. Afterwards, some of the girls go out to a club and start drinking. Sylvia, one of the sisters, is talking to a guy she's interested in, when Jessica comes up and tells her she can't talk to him. Sylvia gets upset and tells Jessica that she'll do what she wants when she wants. Jessica tells Sylvia that she thinks she's being slutty, so Sylvia slaps her in the face.
Afterwards, the girls are picked up from the bar, but Candace and Amanda are MIA. Apparently, they were seen leaving the bar with two guys. Then Candace and Amanda discuss how the other girls ditched them, and they're forced to walk home at 3 a.m. Jordan gets upset when the girls come home and complains that they're making too much noise. She politely asks them multiple times to be quiet because she has to work early in the morning, but the girls continue their giggling.
Jordan feels that Amanda has been acting differently around Candace. She claims that Amanda usually is very apologetic for her actions, but when Candace and Amanda are together, she doesn't care about other people's feelings. Jordan comes into the kitchen, demanding that Amanda apologize to her. But Amanda claims that she didn't even give her a chance to apologize. Tension between the girls grows, as the two of them are still angry with each other.
Jordan and Mara discuss the Amanda and Candace situation on a lunch break, while Amanda and Candace do the same. Amanda says that she feels she is too giving, and that she gets nothing in return. Jordan thinks that Amanda is insecure, and that's why she latches on to people.
Sylvia and Jessica discuss what happened in the club and make up after a long discussion. Jordan still demands an apology from Amanda, but nothing really gets resolved between the two of them.
Episode 8
The Sigma sisters organize a meeting to determine who will be a "big sister" to each of the pledges. The girls feel that this is a good way to get to know each other a little better. The big sisters start exchanging secret gifts among the little sisters. Amanda and Candace are starting to get to know one another a lot more since they started opening up to each other.
Jordan's boyfriend, Justin, thinks that Jordan has too many things going on in her life that are more important than their relationship. They both agree that they should break up. Jordan goes to Justin's house to return some of his things, and he gives her a card he claims he had written before they broke up. The girls refuse to let Jordan read the card, in fear that it will make her feel bad, and Jordan agrees. Amanda rips up the card because she thinks that it would be better for her.
Amanda reveals that her big sis is Pauli. Dede's big sis is Jesse, Mara's big sis is Mara, Jessica has Katie, Candace has Stacey, and Jordan has Nora - who is actually younger than her. Jordan seems to be annoyed by the "younger big sister" thing.
Candace feels that Amanda is beginning to have more confidence and is standing up to Jordan more often. Amanda says she talks to her like she's a child, and she doesn't need that from her. Jordan and Amanda's friendship is being strained. Jordan feels that she keeps forgiving Amanda for the way that she treats her and the people around her.
The girls go out, and Amanda tells Candace that she has a crush on Paul, a guy friend that she's known for a while. They all meet at the bar and end up drinking a lot. Candace attempts to be a good friend by trying to convince Paul to break up with his girlfriend for Amanda. While mingling in the street after the bar closes, Candace kisses Paul while Amanda's back is turned. Amanda turns around to catch them kissing once again and flips out. Candace goes running after her, apologizing and telling Amanda she never meant to hurt her. When they get back to the house, Candace claims she kisses guys when she's drunk. Amanda says that even in a state of drunkenness, she would never do that. Candace doesn't give up, and ends up sleeping in Amanda's bed to keep her company.
Episode 9
It's Mara's birthday! Candace and Amanda were drinking ahead of time - even though all the pledges had decided to go out together. Candace feels like Jordan is being really mean to her and snubbing her on purpose. While they're out, Mara tells Jessica to tell Amanda to not talk to a boy she is talking to, because he and Mara have a history. Amanda goes off on Jessica, and Jessica thinks she has blown it out of proportion. Then Amanda leaves the bar with Clint.
Jordan talks to Leah and Leslie about Candace and Amanda's drinking. She asks them to intervene because the drinking has gotten out of control. At the end of the night, Candace doesn't get in the car when Dede comes to pick everyone up - instead she leaves with a boy.
Jessica suggests to Amanda that she talk to Mara about what happened. Candace proposes having a roundtable discussion. Jessica leaves the house and goes to talk to Jordan, Dede and Mara about how Amanda and Candace are "vultures." They all talk smack for a while.
Amanda and Mara have a conversation about what happened and realize that they had a complete misunderstanding. Jordan then yells at Amanda to apologize to Jessica. Amanda apologizes, and Jessica tells her it is going to take some time.
Leah and Leslie talk to Candace about her drinking, and she says that she's decided to slow it down. Mara and Jordan go out again to celebrate Mara's birthday. But Mara makes it home before Jordan, and then Candace gets worried because it's late and Jordan is still not home. When Jordan eventually gets home, Candace tells her how worried she was. They start a conversation and both end up hugging and crying.
Episode 10
The sisters are informed that they're going to have a formal in San Francisco. Because Leslie is graduating, she wants to make sure that this formal is absolutely perfect. The pledges head to the mall together to find something to wear. During the course of their outing, the girls are flipping out about who to bring to the dance.
Dede speaks to her mom and finds out that her uncle died. Jordan hears the news, and suddenly feels like there is something wrong with her family, as well. When she calls her mom to ask if everything is OK, she finds out that her grandmother has passed away. The girls are very upset about everything, but they decide that they should still go to the formal and have a good time.
The day of the dance arrives, and the girls drive to their hotel in San Francisco. Jordan and Mara drive there first and decide that the hotel room is too nasty and dirty to stay in overnight. So the two of them leave and get another room in a different hotel. Jessica finds out when she gets to San Francisco, and she's very upset. She believes that the sisters should've stayed together, that it was rude of them to leave, and that they should pay for the room they're not using.
At the formal, Candace, Amanda and their dates show up in sunglasses. Everyone is giving them dirty looks, including Jordan, who thinks the sunglasses are corny. Leah, being the president, does a presentation where the reins are handed over to Becca, who will be the new president for the upcoming school year, as well as Paulie, who is going to be the new VP. Candace and Amanda's table (they're sitting with some of the other pledges) doesn't really pay much attention to the presentation that the other sisters find very important to the sorority. In the middle of the it, their whole table gets up and leaves to go drink somewhere else. Many of the other sisters (especially Leslie) are rather aggravated. Candace, Amanda and their dates return to the formal after finding out that Amanda and Clint (one of their dates) forgot their IDs.
Meanwhile, Jordan and Mara thought the formal was boring and decided to leave with their dates to go to a female strip club. The two girls had never been to a strip club, and they said that neither one of them regretted any of their choices that night. They felt like they needed to get away from their problems, and that this was a good way to do it.
Episode 11
Jordan is trying to deal with her grandmother's death. She makes a trip home to see her mom and help prepare for the funeral. Candace gives Jordan a card of condolences. Dede is also trying to deal with the death of her uncle. The doctor's told Dede's family that it probably wouldn't happen until the summer.
The sisters have a meeting to discuss the formal events. Everyone is up in arms about the behaviour of the pledges. They all seem to be in agreement about not wanting them to be in Sigma. Leslie and Becca are not in agreement with kicking them out.
Jessie, Stacey, and Pauli go over to the pledge house to confront Jordan, Amanda, Mara, and Candace. Jessie tells them that she will not take their apology. Jordan feels attacked. Mara calls Leah and tells her what happened. Leah, Leslie, and Becca are not happy with the way that Jessiie handled things. Becca feels that Jessie undermined her.
Becca meets with Jordan, Mara, Amanda, and Candace to discuss the events that happened at Formal. Jesse attempts to smooth over things with the pledges. Ann says to Jordan that she disrespected her sisters. Then Jesse says something to Jordan, and Jordan flies off the handle because they are so mean to her.
Episode 12
The episode begins at the weekly pledge meeting, and Becca saying that there are girls who might not be initiated. The pledges are supposed to plan the Blue and Gold dinner, which is traditionally when initiations take place. All of the pledges in the house except Jessica decide to go to Las Vegas to blow off steam.
Candace calls her parents and talks with her dad about how she fears she is going to fail her grammar class. Her father says he's counting on her to pass her classes. She gets together with one of the pledges, Donna, to help her study.
The girls head for Vegas, and are absolutely amazed at the beauty of their room at Ceasar's Palace. The tension from the house has evaporated.
Jessica decides to go to the sisters' meeting and speak out on behalf of the pledges. She feels like she needs to be able to speak to all the sisters if this is something she can be a part of. Paulli gets very emotional at the meeting.
Dede, Jordan, and Mara go to a Chippendales's show, and Dede gets pulled up on stage. Yee-haw!
Becca sends out an e-mail to let the pledges know that they have decided to initiate everyone. The pledges in the house are not impressed. Becca meets with all of them individually to see how they are all feeling. Mara and Amanda are completely stressed out with the whole process at this point.
Episode 13
The finale episode begins with Jordan crying and talking with Amanda about joining the sorority--why would she want to be a part of an organization that treats her so poorly? Amanda is just trying to figure it out, and she and Jordan are both very upset. Jordan talks with Becca, and Amanda talks with Leslie. Leslie makes Amanda feel much better. Candace is still on the fence. The sisters talk and decide that some of them should go over to the pledge house and make the pledges feel better. They write them poems and bake them cookies. Jordan likes them, but still feels it is too little too late.
All of the pledges have to pass a quiz about Sigma. The only one that is having a problem passing is DeDe. She ends up passing with no time to spare.
The Blue and Gold dinner is the event during which the pledges are initiated. Mara gets up and makes a speech about how she doesn't feel good about being initiated. She says that just because a few girls want them, it doesn't mean the whole sorority wants them. Jordan talks about how everyone has judged her from the beginning, and she can't be a part of it. Leslie and Leah meet and Leslie is very upset by what has happened. Leah says that this quarter taught them so much.
As initiation begins, each of the pledges are brought upstairs by their big sister. It is a sacred ritual, and we are not allowed to know what happens. Candace is still having mixed emotions, but then Stacy gives her a little squeeze. And all is well after that.
All of the girls are packing up to leave, and Jordan is relieved that it is over. Mara feels like a huge weight has been lifted off of her shoulders.
The season closes with a meeting---with Becca as the new president, and the pledges as full-fledged sisters. Candace signs up to work on next quarters rush.
