KEVIN: Tell us about your experience at the American Music Awards. How was that?

KRYStAL: It was very much a divine, appointed thing. Because coming down to the last couple of seconds, believe it or not, it looked like it might not happen. So it kind of came down to the last minute. But everything turned out cool. I met y'all at the hotel where we got dressed. And ah, (clears her throat), and all morning I am thinking, yeah, right now I am in Sunday School and I am just getting ready for church tonight. (Closes her eyes.) I am going to get at the AMA's and we are just going to have church, you know. (With a bright smile and laughs a bit.) Which is kind of how I look at a lot of things, but it was all good. I mean, you came up to me and said, "You know what, let's just can the script; we'll just get up there and let you do your thing. I just create something clever." Which you always do very well.

(KEVIN and KRYStAL both chuckle.)

KRYStAL: What?! Your like, "suavest" talker I know. You always remain cool at all times.

(KEVIN shakes his head to agree.)

KEVIN: I'm glad you think that.

(KRYStAL laughs and KEVIN puts his head down with a smile.)

KRYStAL: But it was the bomb. We got up there, we walked on. I think you said something like, (pause), you said something at first. I have no idea what you said because I was like, oh thank You Lord.

KEVIN: I said, we're very happy to be here.

KRYStAL: That's right.

KEVIN: And especially proud to introduce you to our very own artist, MISS KRYStAL Harris. Say hello KRYStAL.

KRYStAL: Say hello KRYStAL! That's the part I do remember! (She laughs.)

KEVIN: Then you sang.

KRYStAL: And then I sang.

KEVIN: Yeah.

KRYStAL: And the minute I started singing, I felt all comfort from then on. It was like, (brushes her hands to the side) I made my place, I'm fine. And what I didn't expect was a reaction. And the minute that I started singing, it was like all of a sudden people started hollering, screaming and then I got done and people were hollering and screaming some more. And the craziest part to me, because I am so in the beginning and in the foundations of everything; to have musical peers, like people that have all ready done their things and are established and are winning American Music Awards and Grammy's, etc, etc. to like, cheer and clap and get all crazy. That is the biggest blessing ever! I can't even believe that it happened, still to this day...I can't believe it. But...

KEVIN: I remember looking out into the audience and seeing Destiny's Child, looking at all three of those girls and they were like...(KEVIN drops his jaw.)

(KRYStAL giggles to herself.)

KEVIN: And then, backstage, TV FOX came to see you and said you touched them. He said you touched his heart and that is pretty powerful.

KRYStAL: Yeah. After coming out like that, it's like for however many seconds that was, that people automatically got to see what my heart is all about. And that is so important, you know. And they also were like, when is your album coming out? And now, I have an album coming out this year. And it's cool. This year has been a new year of freedom for me. And the AMAs was really the birth of that. It really started all that.
