The Watchung Arts Center and the Alzheimers Association has combined their effort to bring to the community a whole month of events concerning aging. Our events continue to be diverse offering Comedy, Jazz, Poetry, Folk and a Diva Series as well as, a juried art exhibit "Imaging Aging" which encompasses visual impressions of the challenges, fears, pains, and pleasures of aging. Our finale event for October will be an Adult Halloween Party entitled, "Come As You Were In a Former Life".
The Northern New Jersey Chapter of the Alzheimers Association, the states largest chapter, provides services, support and resources to Alzheimers patients and caregivers in 11 counties.
Our schedule of events begins with a discussion on Friday, October 2nd at 8pm by Dr. Michael Pontecorvo of Lawrenceville, who was appointed VP of Northern New Jersey Chapter of the Alzheimers Associations Board of Directors in 1994.
