I married Judy (Kemper) Whitten in 1966. In 1978 Heather, our only child, was born.
I received my Bachelor of Arts from UNC (Greeley) in 1966 and Master of Arts from UNC in 1968.
My employment started in the education field in 1966 until 1982. From 1982 through 1987 I was in the wood stove business and the masonry business.

The recession in 1987 encouraged us to get out of the building trades area as soon as possible. In 1988 I started working for METLIFE as an insurance agent with some degree of success. Then June 1, 1995 I started my own general agency.

| My hobbies include attending Bronco and Rockies games. Judy and I, mostly Judy, try to work out as much as possible at the Denver Athletic Club. In addition to our 18 foot boat, we are 1/10 owners of a houseboat at Lake Powell in Utah and spend at least two weeks a summer, this year will be 3 weeks!! |

I guess my primary interest now is getting things together so when we retire in a couple of years, we have "Our house in Order" so to speak.
My special memories include the closeness of all students, parents of the students, and the teachers and administrators.

Whenever I want to remember I either watch or think of the movie, "The Last Picture Show." Being able to go to the Proms, Sweetheart Balls, and participating in activities are memories that will always stay with you. The education process, in retrospect, however was somewhat suspect.
With regard to the teachers - Who could forget Lloyd and Tillie Hillyer, Dick Kimbrough, the lady with the dead cat on Halloween, John Grant, Jack Stephens, Orville Thisius, Amanda Kemme just to name a few. All of the teachers had a most difficult job, being in a small town, taking students to activities, teaching classes they didn't like, etc.
After being in Hawaii 8 times, Judy and I probably would like to live on the Big Island around the Kona area. When Heather gets out of college, who knows?

UPDATE
My career track has changed again. In September, 1996 I started a manufactured home sales lot in Longmont with my brother - Larry.
In September 1998 I became the sole operator.
In November 1999 I acquired a second lot in Fort Collins. We sell and install manufactured/modular homes in both parts and land and home developments.
Judy has completed 37 years with her same employer, now called KPMG. She is in charge of office events and marketing for the Denver office.
Heather graduated from Bear Creek High School and is enrolled in pilot training in Daytona Beach and is now resuming instruction again.

Who knows about retirement at this particular time, but Judy is ready. As to Our house in Order who knows.
