I do remember some things from school, but was in an accident in '89 and after spending time in the hospital and recuperating, a lot of the past I can't remember, and it makes it bad as I know there had to be a lot of good times. Am anxious to see everyone, but afraid of names I may not remember and don't want to hurt any feelings. Hoping a lot of it will register and come back if I get to come.
Life has been pretty good over the past years, even with our ups and downs.
I didn't know about several of the classmates that are no longer with us. Kelly Davies, Larry Austin, Dennis Busse and Carol Porter. That is what makes it bad when you move and lose touch. It was a shock. Larry was my grade school and high school crush.
Memories
Some of my more special memories are all the classmates that did take me for what I was and accepted me for that. Ya'll know who you are and ya'll are very special. We all had some great times.
I got married in 1960 and have two great kids, Chuck Jensen, who lives in Ogallala, Nebraska and Alice May Masher, who lives in Fayetteville, Arkansas. My first husband, Donnie Jensen, died in 1982 and I married my husband, Billy Cummings on May 2, 1984 in Julesburg, and moved to Rison, Arkansas in '85.

We started driving an 18 wheeler as a team in '84. Sold our mobile home and 2 1/2 acres in January '94 to do some traveling in a fifth wheel. Came to Hamilton, Missouri in February to spend some time near the kids and grandkids. Then my husband's health went downhill and we had to forget traveling, so we now live in the fifth wheel---28ft. in a trailer park.
We have 3 children in Missouri. Cindy and her family live here in Hamilton. Tim and family live in Chillocothe and Janice and family live in La Russell, Missouri. We have 22 grandchildren.

My Mom lives in Fort Collins. Her name is Agnes Lafferty.
I have 3 brothers, Les Copass, in Fort Collins, Ron Copass in Denver and Harvey Copass in Albuquerque, New Mexico. A sister, Ramona Copass, lives in Kalamazoo, Michigan.
My favorite pastimes and hobbies are plastic canvas work, making place mats on a loom, camping and fishing, which we do every chance we get.
Update - July 21, 1995
Thought I better get busy and get a few lines written and sent off to ya'll. Do have some disappointing news, though. I'm not going to make it to the reunion after all. I am going to have to come up with the money and get my (missing word) worked on. Was really looking forward to it, too. Still hope to keep in touch and hear all about the reunion and everyone. Don't want to lose touch, anyway!
Doubt if ya'll knew my husband, as we met in Commerce City, CO, but wanted to get married in Julesburg. He is from Arkansas.

Have been keeping busy. Have a small flower garden in our yard even though the yard isn't very big here in the trailer court. Hadn't planned on staying in one place very long, but when Billy's health went bad last June, we just stayed put. The best made plans don't always work out. He spends a lot of time at the VA Hospital. In fact, he has 2 appointments next Wednesday.
We go fishing and camping when he's up to it and really enjoy it. I can't remember for sure as my memory is really bad, but hope I asked to reserve a copy of the 1960 Alumni Book. If not, I hope it isn't too late.

As for my accident. My husband, a nephew, and myself were riding in the back of our pickup and sitting on the endgate. A stepson was driving very slow on a country road. The endgate hinge broke and we ended up on the road. Bill just got bruised, Scott broke his little finger, and I hit on the back of my head. Busted it wide open and blood was everywhere. That's the last I remember 'til several hours later when I woke up in the hospital. Was there several days (3 1/2). Dug gravel out of my head but couldn't get it all. Have several draw backs. Can't look up suddenly, can't lay on the back of my head, and have a lot of trouble with dizzy spells. Have a lot of migraines, but could have been worse. Most of the time, I can't lay on my right side as the room spins. They said I was lucky. Want to get this sent off, so will close for this time. Tell everyone "hi" for me. Ya'll have a good time, and I wish I could be there.

UPDATE - JUNE 5, 2000
We still live in Hamilton, MO in the Fifth-Wheel. Still have my flower garden an add more each year. Have a rose garden this year again an added two new bushes for a total of five. Another flower box and also have a plant hanger that holds five plants an a covered picnic area with tables and benches with a bird feeder in the center. It i so dry that I reallly have to water everything a lot but they are getting pretty. I really enjoy my flowers and working in them. I Spend a lot of evenings out in the garden and sitting in the canopy yard - Swing that weve been wanting and finally got.
Have added to our family since the last time. Our daughter, Alice, had a son who is named Donald Eugene and is 19 months old and a real cutie. He is named after her Dad. Also have a great granddaughter and soon to have another great Grandbaby.
Have a new hobby and past time for the last four summers. We go to Bluegrass Festivals. Usually go to 7 or 8 each summer but wth the price of gas, will have to cut down. Have met and made a lot of Bue Grass friends.

Always look forward to May and the Festivals starting.
Since the last paper, Ive made a change in my life. No, youre wrong. Im still married to the same great guy. Decided it was time to take some weight off. A year ago, got on the scales and about had heart failure - was over 200 pounds. That was it! Started working hard on it and have taken off 28 lbs and quite a few inches. Feeling great but still going to take off several more.

Well, guess who I got a phone call from the other evening? One of the best friends I had - Lora Rae. Was so good to hear her voice and we talked for quite a while about things and people we knew in high school. We talked about the reunion and again, I hope to get to come. Hope that if I do get to come, that everyone will understand, if I dont remember them, cause its not that I dont want to.
Have things to do and places to go, Had a Blue Grass Festival last weekend and have another this next weekend. Love that Blue Grass! In between had surgery on my left hand - six weeks ago - plus had a biopsy done. So, have seen enough of hospitals for a while. Bored yall enough for this time. Sending a picture for yall to put out in your gardens.
Well, yall take care - OK!
