Dinner and a Movie
I can't tell you how many times I've heard people make comments about movies like this: "Yeah, that movie has a good message, but I couldn't stand to watch it because it was so low-budget." And have you ever heard this: "That LDS musician's work is just too hokey to take. I'll take my rap over it any day." Or how about this one: "Oh, I know this movie has a lot of immorality in it, but it was so artistically done!"
Sometimes people with the highest moral standards seem to put them on hold when it comes to film and music preferences. We often justify this in the name of "art." Like a gold-embossed execution invitation, as long as the message is delivered appealingly, the actual content doesn't matter.
