The group is a non-profit organization dedicated to the research, preservation, presentation and education of the Mexican culture and heritage. All costumes worn are an authentic representation of customs and culture of the various regions of Mexico. As the group performs, they spread the Mexican culture and heritage while instilling pride in the students. As the performers participate with the resolute of fun and entertainment, they acquire knowledge of the history of the Mexican culture, and an appreciation of the arts, in the form of dance and music.
