Lydia Ruth Burright was the daughter of Charles Colby Burright and Lily E. Huff Burright. She was born on October 13, 1896 on a farm in Logan County where her father Charles Colby Burright known as “Charley” had homesteaded the land in the land run of 1889 in the state of Oklahoma. It was located east of Lockridge and twenty miles west of Guthrie.

She married Sidney Lewis Chiristner son of Nelson Christner and Sarah Catharine Pritts Christner. He was born on August 30, 1890 in a sod house that his parents had homesteaded in Oklahoma County one and a half miles from Lockridge. He was the first child born after they settled in Oklahoma.

Both Ruth and Sid (as they were known as) were both members of First Christian Church at Cashion, Oklahoma. They were married November 23, 1912 at the home of her Grandfather James Warren Burright in Guthrie, Oklahoma.

Sidney worked on the Fort Smith Railroad that ran through the town of Lockridge and their first home was there.It was quite a thriving town back in the 1900’s. It had a bank, two grain elevators, two general merchandise stores, dry goods, grocery, one-room schoolhouse, a drugstore, had one Doctor, two lumber yards, three blacksmith shops, a train depot, a cream station, a pool hall, a dance hall, barbershop, post office, cotton gin, livery station and three saloons. The town began to die in 1925 when the railroad left. Today, the town no longer exists but is farm land. It got its name from four counties coming together, Logan, Oklahoma, Canadian and Kingfisher. The town was on a ridge thus the name was Lockridge.

They had a two room home here and this was where their first daughter Bessie Marie was born. Later, they moved east of Lockridge where they rented a farm and Sid started farming. This was where the second daughter Beryl Mabel was born. Later, they bought a farm two miles south of Lockridge and ten miles west and three north of Edmond, Oklahoma. This was where their daughter Betty Ruth was born. Sid and Ruth built a new home in 1933 and 1934 on this farm and lived there until 1952 where they moved to Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

The first child of Ruth and Sidney’s was Bessie Marie Christner born October 21, 1916 at Lockridge, Oklahoma. Bessie attended school from the first through the twelfth at Deer Creek Consolidated School. She went to Central State Teachers College at Edmond where she received a teaching certificate. She taught school at Mt. Everett School in Kingfisher County. She met Allen Kordis at a party. She was married on June 9, 1937 to Allen Willard Kordis born July 9, 1915. He was a farmer and this is where the children were born and at this writing, he is still living there. Bessie died in Kingfisher Hospital on January 29, 1999 and was buried at the Kingfisher Cemetery.

Bessie and Allen’s children are Ellen Marie, Ruth Mabel, Herbert Allen and Kenneth Randal.

Ellen Marie Kordis was born September 23, 1938 in Rural Kingfisher county. She married August 7, 1954 to Charles Francis Gillett born September 1, 1933 at First Christian Church in Guthrie, Okahoma. Charles was a farmer and he also had a chicken farm. Charles died May 25, 1999. Charles and Ellen were divorced in 1973.

Bessie Sue “Susie” Gillett was born May 14, l955 at Guthrie, Oklahoma and was married on June 8, 1973 at Crescent, Oklahoma to Leslie Michael Davis who was born April 8, 1951.

Leslie Michael Davis is a Histologist in the VA hospital in Muskogee and has been since he and Susie were married.

Susie and Leslie’s children are Christopher Michael Davis born March 5, 1975 at Muskogee, Oklahoma and was married on May 25, 1998 to Shannon Lynn Mann Lawson who was born February 4, 1968. She had a daughter Melody Marlene Lawson who was born September 3, 1990.

Christopher Michael Davis works for Coca Cola in Muskogee and his wife works as a nurse and is getting a R.N.Degree and they reside in Checotah, Ok

Amanda Marie Davis born March 30, 1978 at Muskogee, Oklahoma the daughter of Susie and Leslie Davis was married on June 23, 2000 to Brian Earl Perceful who was born July 24, 1977.

Child of Ellen and Charles Gillett, Katherine Christine was born February 24, 1958 at Kingfisher, Oklahoma and died September 27, 1958 and was buried at Cashion Cemetery.

Child of Ellen and Charles Gillett . Patty Ellen Gillett was born August 22, 1959 at Kingfisher, Oklahoma and was married to Oliver Lee Rudd who was born May 22, 1947 in Texas. They were divorced June 1994 but had one daughter Shelia Elaine Rudd who was born January 7, 1980 at Kingfisher, Oklahoma and was married February 19, 2000 to Jason Dwayne McCullough who was born October 11, 1980 in Louisiana. He is now serving in the United States Army. Their children were Adrian Elizabeth McCullough born April 21, 2000. Genna Danielle McCullough born October 17, 2002 in North Carolina. Shelia and Jason were divorced in 2004.

Patty re-married on July 20, 2000 to Raymond Dean Wiggs born Jan. 15, 1955 in Fort Smith, Arkansas.

Patty Ellen Gillett Wiggs is now a manager for a convenience store in Crescent, Oklahoma where they now live.

Ellen and Charles Gillett son James Earl Gillett born March 5, 1961 at Kingfisher, Oklahoma and died August 25, l993 at St. John’s Hospital at Tulsa, Oklhoma. He was buried at Cashion, Oklahoma Cemetery.

Ellen and Charles Gillett daughter Cheryl Ann Gillett was born March 16, 1964 at Kingfisher, Oklahoma. She was married on November 26, 1983 at First Baptist Church, Crescent, Oklahoma to Paul Wesley Farmer who was born November 26, 1963 at Ada, Oklahoma. Their children are Victoria Gail Farmer born November 6, 1990 at St. John’s Hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Clinton Charles Farmer was born January 12, 1993 at Ardmore Hospital. Cheryl and Paul were divorced on January, 2000.

Cheryl Ann Gillett Farmer is an Asst. Manager for Sicion Cars at Dub Richardson Toyota in Oklahoma City where she now lives.

Ellen Marie Kordis Gillett was married on September 23, 1983 to Virgil Dean Richards who was born March 30, 1940 and Virgil died January 26, 2002. He was buried at Cashion, Oklahoma Cemetery.

Virgil worked for thirty years for Kerr-McGee; Corporation and when he retired as a Manager, he held the highest position of the Kerr-McGee Plant outside of Crescent, Oklahoma.

Bessie and Allen Kordis daughter Ruth Mabel Kordis who was born March 20, 1940 in rural Kingfisher County was married on May 4, 1961 to Roy Blasius who was born March 19, 1937. Ruth and Roy’s children were Richard Allen who was born August 19, 1962 in Oklahoma City and was married on October 20, 200l to Christina Michelle Currie who was born May 11, 1972. Their children were William Allen Blasius born May 12, 2002 in Oklahoma and Annabelle Currie Blasius born March 22, 2004.

Ruth and Roy’s daughter Cynthia Marie Blasius who was born June 26, 1965 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Ruth and Roy were divorced in 1971.

Bessie Marie Christner Kordis and Allen Willard Kordis son Herbert Allen Kordis was born November 7, 1942 in rural Kingfisher County and was married August 24, 1968 in Oklahoma City to Maureen Seay Johnson born November 18, 1935 at Ardmore, Oklahoma. Herbert Allen Kordis is now a Manager of the Frozen Food Dept. at a Wal-Mart in Oklahoma City. Michael Kordis, his son is the Manager of the Produce section at the same Wal-Mart in Oklahoma City. Herbert and Maureen’s children are: Kim Michelle Kordis born July 7, 1969 in Kingfisher, Oklahoma and was married on November 18, 1989 to Robert Wayne Hurlbut who was born July 10, 1968. Kim and Robert’s children are Stephen Daniel Hurlbut born April 26, 1990 and David Mathew Hurlbut born April 26, 12992. Robert and Kim are now divorced. Kim has passed her bar exam and will be an attorney at Boston, Mass. Herbert at one time was a farmer and had a pig farm, also. Now is a Manger of the Meat Department at a Wal-mart in Oklahoma City.

Bessie and Allen Kordis son Kenneth Randal Kordis, Sr. was born January 22, 1952 at Kingfisher, Oklahoma and was married on December 24, 1973 to Lenna Faye Harleson Lee who was born on October 31, 1938 at Kilgore, Texas. They had one child, Kenneth Randal Kordis, Jr. who was born November 20, 1974 at Okarche, Oklahoma. He was married to Brenda Lee Harper and their children were Bonnie Sue born November 3, l996 2002. Kenneth Randal the Third born May 22, 2002.

Kenneth and Lenna were divorced and then Kenneth Sr. was married on June 2, 1980 to Karen Ousley Cummings born April 15, 1954 and they had one daughter LaTricia Marie Kordis born January 16, 1982 at Kingfisher, Oklahoma. LaTricia is going to college at University of Central Oklahoma and is head cashier at Home Depot in Edmond, Oklahoma where she lives. They had a son Chance Allen Kordis born July 3, 1985 at Kingfisher, Oklahoma.

Kenneth Randal Kordis, Sr. is a farmer and an auctioneer. Chance Allen Kordis, his son also is an auctioneer and at one time was the youngest one in the state of Oklahoma.

The second child of Ruth and Sidney Christner was Beryl Mabel Christner born August 15, l920 and attended all her twelve years at Deer Creek Consolidated School. She was married on November 23, 1937 at her parents farm home to Oscar Harold Perry (birth date unknown). He died October 27, 1949. He was buried at Kansas Cemetery near Piedmont, Oklahoma. Their children was Harold Dean Perry, James Newton Perry, Harolyn Jean Perry and Sharon Lee Perry.

Harold Dean Perry was born November 13, 1940 and died November l3, 1940 and was buried at Christner Cemetery.

James Newton Perry Deaton was born March 8, 1942 and was married on June 2, 1963 to Carlene Dillard born July 3, 1943. Jim as he is called has degrees in Music from University of Central Oklahoma and Oklahoma University. Jim and Carlene’s children are Christopher Shane Deaton and Angela Danielle Deaton.

Christopher Shane Deaton was born May ll, 1965 and was married on September 28, 1985 to Christine Deall who was born September 1, 1960. Christine had one daughter Elizabeth Ford. Christopher and Christine’s children are Emily born September 22, 1986 and Ashley born April 14, l989.

Angela Danielle Deaton was born May 21, 1969 and was married on November 28, 1992 to Allen Harrison born March 17, l967 and they had three children. Savannah was born October 12, 1994, Riley Zane was born August 3, 2004, and Hayden was born May 5, 1999.

Jim and Carlene were divorced in January 1987.

Jim was married May 17, 1988 to Susan Hollet born April 4, 1948. They were married in Az.

Beryl and Harold’s daughter Harolyn Jean Perry Deaton born August 29, 1944 and was married October 25, 1963 to Don Hoelscher born October 20, 1943. Their children were Don Preston Hoelscher born Auguust 29, 1964. He had one daughter Paula Jean Hoelscher –no marriage. Preston then married on September 9, 1995 to Janice Bradec born July 26, 1964 and Preston and Janice have one daughter Alexandra born January 5, l998.

Harolyn and Don Hoelscher’s daughter Gwendolyn Jean Hoelscher was born October 23, 1969 and was married August 23, 1991 to Travis Riley birth unknown and they have one daughter Ashley Renee born January 4, 1989.

Harolyn and Don Hoelscher’s daughter Heather Gayle Hoelscher was born January 25, 1977 and was married April 22, 1995 to Michael McDonald birth unknown. Heather and Michael have one son Austin Kayle born January 12, 1995.

Beryl and Harold had a daughter Sharon Lea Perry Deaton born September 9, 1946 and was married June 25 1965 to Fred William Knight born June 20, 1944. Their children are: Lynn David Knight born September 5, 1966 and was married on August 9, 1992 to Angela McKenzie (birth unknown). Lynn and Angela’s children are Shelby Lynn Knight born February 3, 1995 and Caleb Nathan Knight born November 23, 1998. Lynn and Angela were divorced in 2001. Lynn married Samanthia Ritihison (birth unknown) on May 19, 2002.

Beryl Mabel Christner Perry married John Deaton (Birth Unknown) in 1949. He was a Policeman and Beryl and John had one son, John Sidney Deaton born October 27, 1949. John Sidney was married to Jennifer Greer (Birth and date of marriage unknown). They had one daughter Alexandra Edona born November 11, 1980. John and Jennifer were divorced in 1985.

John Deaton adopted James, Harolyn and Sharon Perry sometime in the 1950’s. Beryl died March 5, 1973 and John died November 25, 1971. Both are buried at the Christner Cemetery.

The third child of Ruth and Sidney’s was Betty Ruth Christner who was born July 7, 1926. She married on February 23, 1947 to G.C. Hopper, Jr. born October 16, 1924. G.C. was the son of Grover Cleveland Hopper born February 22, 1893 and was married in December 1911 to Maggie Pearl Robbins born December 10, 1893. Grover died March 21, 1932 and Pearl died September 28,1976 and both are buried at Elm Flat Cemetery in Rocky, Oklahoma.

G.C. Hopper, Jr. served in the U.S. Army during World War 11 in New Guinea and Philippines and returned to College at Central State College (now known as University of Central Oklahoma). It was here in an Algebra Class in 1946 that he met Betty. They were married in their Senior year on February 23, 1947 at First Methodist Church, Edmond, Oklahoma. Both of them received degrees and went to Oklahoma City where G.Was hired by Ford

Motor Company in February 1948 and when he retired in 1983, he had been with Ford thirty-five years plus having worked in Oklahoma City and Dallas and this is where he retired. Betty worked as an Accountant before they had children and then became a housewife and Mother. She held many jobs in P.T.A. and church while the children were in school and church. Presently, she has been the President of the United Methodist Women of Spring Valley United Methodist church in Dallas, Texas. She is also a Stephen Minister there. She is in charge of Joys and Concerns in a class of 135. She works in the Arts and Crafts at Church and does work wherever she is needed. She loves traveling, “Chicago” Rock Group Band and goes to see them perform with her son Tommy in Las Vegas several times a year. She loves gardening and with the help of her son Rocky, she has a beautiful yard with many flowers. She has two little Boston Terriers Doggies who are at this writing two years old, “Peter” and “Parker” that she loves very much. She is enjoying working on the Genealogy on her Mother’s side of the house “The Burright’s”. She has all the genealogy on her father’s house “Christner”. She hopes to begin working on the Hopper and Robbin genealogy in the near future. She also likes to read many books including the bible everyday.

These are Betty and G.C.’s children: Gary Charles Hopper was born September 27, 1950 in Okahoma City and was married on March 19, 1976 to Jacquelin (Jacque) Ann Carter born April 13, 1956. They have two daughters. Krista Michelle born April 29, 1979. Krista married on December 10, 1999 to Burt Ryan Lancaster born September 9, 1973. Krista and Burt have two sons. Noah Ryan Lancaster born October 26, 2000 and Joshua Caleb Lancaster born March 18, 2002. Gary and Jacque’s other daughter is Kasey Meredith Hopper born March 26, 1982.

Gary and Jacque now live in Flordia. Gary received his degree in Music at University of Central Oklahoma and was a church organist many years in Oklahoma City and worked for Southwestern Bell for twenty years and is now teaching music in the Florida school district where he lives.

Betty and G.C.’s daughter Betty Sue Hopper born January 7, 1954 in Oklahoma City was married on March 31, 1984 to Dennis Leo Bruehl born April 8, 1953. They have one daughter Robin Sue Bruehl born November 10, 1987. Sue received a degree in Home Economics at the University of Central Oklahoma. She has a sewing business in her home and her husband works for the State of Oklahoma.

Betty and G.C.’s son Tommy Scot Hopper was born in Oklahoma City on September 5, 1955. Tommy graduated from the University of Central Oklahoma in Communications and worked for ten years for Motorola in Oklahoma City and then for fifteen years has worked for Dealers selling Motorola Products.

Betty and G.C.’s son Rocky Lee Hopper was born in Oklahoma on March 15, 1959. He received his degree in Mathematics from The University of Texas at Dallas and has worked in computers since graduation.

G.C. Hopper, Jr. died on August 3, 1994 and was buried at Restland Cemetery at Dallas Texas. G.C. and Betty were married forty-seven plus years before his death.
