1. Cut the snowman shape from the ¾" pine; the hat brim and signs from ¼" pine. Using the pattern, cut a pointed end on one end of the stake. Sand all edges. Stain the stake on all sides and allow to dry.

2. The snowman body is Antique white with Gray Sky shading around the outside edges and under the brim. The hat is Antique Mauve. Here the directions are too hard to read. Basically, it's saying to use the burnt sienna to make the lines on the hat, and use the end of a brush to make the dots in Williamsburg blue. The brim and pompom are Desert Sand with Sable Brown shading around the edges.

3. Use Antique Mauve to dry brush cheeks on the snowman. Wood button nose is Burnt Sienna. Eyes, mouth,
Eyebrows and hearts on mouth are black. Dots and lines in eyes are antique white. Lettering on signs in painted with thinned black. Dot ends of letters with Black.

4. Sand off small spots of paint where the buttons and nose are to be attached. Glue or epoxy in place; allow to dry thoroughly. Attach brim using the same method.

5. Spatter the snowman and the signs with thinned Sable Brown and then thinned black.

6. Measure down 4" from the top of the stake and attach yardstick with the ¾" brass screws. The snowman is attached directly above the yardstick. The 1 ¾" screws go through the stake on the back and into the snowman.
Attach the signs with the 1" escutcheon pins.

7. Spray entire project with several coats of acrylic spray or varnish.
