STORMY WEATHER
In the distance black clouds gather;
The sound of thunder begins to roll.
Rain drops are pelting the earth;
And the crack of lightening sears the soul.
The storm is surely coming;
The warning signs are there.
The sound of rain drops falling;
The rolling thunder in the air.
As this roaring storm approaches;
Quickly to a shelter you must go.
To protect yourself from the elements;
Of natures fierce winds as they blow.
Like the thunder storms of the elements;
There are storms which come into our life.
Storms in the form of worry and trouble;
Storms in the form of sadness and strife.
Just as we hunt shelter from storms of the elements;
From the storms of life we must seek a safe place.
We need to turn our eyes toward Jesus;
And keep them on our Savior’s Face.
When the rain drops of life are pelting you;
And lightening is flashing all around;
In the midst of the storms of fears and worries;
Let your praying be the only sound.
These two different kinds of storms;
Are very similar after all.
We realize we need God’s help;
In both storms or else we will fall.
