This was GREAT!!!! What a blast, PSK31 on 160 meters. Didn't know how many people would show up. Looks like about 20 or so. That's almost twice what I expected. Sounds like everyone had fun. I'd call it a total success, and there wasn't a tie for first place between the only two ops to work each other! Good work to all involved, those who made the contest, and those who "made" the contest.
K9COE
Lots of band noise but was nice to see that I could work 160 on the vertical (539 report) and also on the 120 feet of wire I strung up just for the occasion (599 report) Thanks for the fun and cee you later.
N3DQU
The pileups were horrendous hi!
N3MK
Well it looks like the 160 m sprint was a great success!

Rig: Icom 751a into an Alpha Delta Pathfinder auto tuner fed with a 450 ft Zepp style antenna.

N3UYI
Great fun - having the 80 M and 160 M sprints gave me the excuse to get more wire in the air!. First it was the shortened dipole for 80M. Then a trip to the Home Depot and a 500ft spool of 12 gauge for loop antenna.

It is not pretty sight right now a branch fell off and snagged part of the line. No damage but need to get the loop reestablished again.

N6YIH/7
Well, better than I thought but not as good as I hoped for. But ready to try it again and not on a Sunday night.
W3HF
Interesting effort for only one QSO, but then again it was my FIRST 160m QSO. Heard lots of other signals, but couldn't put enough power into the ether for them to hear me. But as Ernie said, at least there's an attaboy!
W3ASA
Enjoyed the contest but pretty much milked the band by 0830 local time. Was hoping for some more activity as I have been promoting 160m activity for 6 months or so by asking 80 and 40m contacts to try QSYing to 160m.

However this contest quadrupled my 160m psk contacts! Maybe it will promote more general PSK activity on 160m.

W5KEC
That was a blast. Thanks for the great contest Jay and Bernie. I had a grand total of 6 contacts on low power, hi hi Tnx to N3UYI, KB4JKQ, AA8QQ, K3PSK, W0AV and WB6BWZ. I came up with a total of 84 points in central time zone.

My grid is EM35 in North central AR - Arkansas. I bet your AL is the record DX, hi hi

WB6BWZ
Did not get much sleep over the weekend because of work (beginning at 0300 ET daily) and participating in the CQ-WW DX SSB contest. Decided to monitor the Great Pumpkin Sprint while reviewing my CQ-WW SSB log and eating a late meal.

Printed (but not worked or completed 2xPSK): AA8QQ, W3ASA, KB3EAX, K4XG, W0AV and K3PSK.

Even though I was tired it was exciting to work PSK31 on 160M for the first time. 160M will improve a lot in another few weeks. I bet that is why ARRL and CQ scheduled their 160M contests in December and January.

Thanks to Steve N3UYI, Don N3MK and Ken W5KEC for copying my QRP sigs via a not-very-good 160M antenna.

Setup: Yaesu FT-817 QRP xcvr, 5 watts to 5-MHz OCF 28-ga insulated wire stealth antenna up 40 feet in heavy foliage trees next to I-75 in downtown Atlanta industrial area. SGC SG-237 HF-VHF Smartuner. Dell Latitude Laptop, PIII 650 MHz, 512 MB, 40 GB, WinME. DigiPan 1.6d, Tigertronics SignaLink SL-1 interface.

W7LD
1. Lovey, KB7JMW, is the "PSK-ER" in this family. She is visiting her family on     East Coast, thus my entry.
2. I printed and called W5KEC, N3DQU, and AA8QQ, but they did not hear     me.
4. Radio is old TS-820. Antennas = Inverted "L" and center fed dipole.
Interface = Phone patch In/Out using VOX for PTT.
3. Thank you Bernie, and your XYL, for all the effort you put into this contest.
W7QQ
Good to work you! It's the first time I have been on the 160M band, so even with only 5 contacts, it was worth the new experience.
WB5SYT
Really enjoyed the 160 meter Pumpkin contest. Used a full wave loop for 160 meters through an MFJ tuner. Rig was the Kenwood 570 and Digipan as software Contacts were tough but the experience was interesting and sure hope we will do it again.

Must admit that I incorrectly thought the contest started on Saturday evening....but could not find a soul on then (hi). Us Okies sometime find it difficult to determine the difference between day and night let along days of the week. Thanks to the participants, contest manager and idea source.

WM2U
Sorry but I have no 160m antenna. I tuned the 40m Delta Loop.
Reduced rig power and operated.
Forward power was 5 watts. Rev power was 4 watts. Uhmm! 1 watts radiated?

All this just to qualify for an Attaboy. :)
