Archibald Buie's Deed of Gifts - 1851

Know all men by these present that I Archibald Buie of the County of Franklin and State of Mississippi for and in consideration of the natural love and affection which I have and do bear toward my two sons Daniel Buie and William Buie do give, grant and convey unto the said Daniel Buie and William Buie the nine following named and described negro slaves to wit JAKE a man of black complexion, MARY a woman and her two children JASPER and MARGARET, AMY a woman and her four children, EMILY, IKE, FINE, and JOSEPHINE. Provided however and it is hereby exspecially understood that the said slaves will be subject to my control during my natural life and I am to enjoy the benefits of their labor free of any hire. And this gift is not to be considered as an advancement ? same being the same slaves and their natural increase that were the property of the mother of said Daniel and William before my intermarriage with her.
To have and to hold the negro slaves aforesaid unto the said Daniel Buie and William Buie and their heirs and ? forever.
In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this the eleventh day of June in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and fifty one.

ARCHIBALD BUIE
Archibald Buie was born 1800 in Cumberland Co., NC, and died April 09, 1853 in Natchez, MS. He married:
1st - Margaret Lee Scott. Children of Archibald Buie and Margaret Scott are: Daniel Archibald Buie, b. October 27, 1832 and William E. Buie, b. Abt. 1835.
2nd - Nancy Hinsdale Fabrique born June 02, 1809 in Hinnesburg, VT, and died March 09, 1847 in McCall Creek, Franklin Co., NC. Child of Archibald Buie and Nancy Fabrique is Aaron Hinsdale Buie, b. February 25, 1847.
3rd - Mary Elizabeth Turner. She was born Abt. 1830. Children of Archibald Buie and Mary Turner are: Martha Buie b. 1849; Wilson Turner Buie b. July 14, 1850; and Mary Elizabeth Buie, b. January 13, 1853.
