The reunion of the descendents of Reese and Helen Spencer Gearhart was held June 17 and 18, 2003 at the Jenny Wiley State Resort Park near Prestonsburg in eastern Kentucky's Floyd County. "Cousins" from Kentucky,Colorado, North Carolina, Illinois, Alabama, Virginia, West Virginia, Arizona, Pennsylvania, and even Alaska spent a soggy few days getting acquainted (or re-acquainted), slogging through mud to visit the family farm and cemetery, looking at photos and genealogy charts, and eating Kentucky Hot Browns (and way too much fried chicken).

By the way, rumor has it that plans are for 2005 or 2006 in Colorado Springs
