Hi! My name is Filomena, and I consider myself to be a Folk Witch. (If you donít know what Witchcraft or Wicca is, and youíd like to know, check out my Questions about Witchcraft? section or email me with questions.) Iím sure Iím not the first person in the world to call myself, and likely not the last. What the question is then, what does the term mean to me and what does it mean about this web site?

Folk Magic, is to me, a little bit of this, a little bit of that. Little bits from all of the magical beliefs and practices Iíve come into contact with thus far. If it works for me, if the idea sings true to my soul, I use it. If not, I donít. It doesnít matter much to me if itís the original chant from Lord Grand Muckity Muck of the Order of the Very Important Cabal of Wizards, or if itís a rhyme some little old lady taught me when I asked her nicely. Whatís important is that if feels right to add to my magic. The world is a big place, and itís impossible, as far as Iím concerned, to say one group of people is more right than another when it comes to something as ephemeral and ever changing as the spiritual world. I understand and respect any person whose magical view is strict to one tradition or philosophy. For me, though, that just isnít right.

Bearing all that in mind, Iíd like to share with you my magical world. My thoughts, my feelings and my experiences. Whatís more, Iíd like you to share yours with me. Letís all work together to build and share what is our tradition of an eclectic magical beauty.

So thatís my dream for the world. As for my personal dream, the bit of reality Iíd like for myself, I want to own a shop. Someday Iíd like to own a little store somewhere that people of magical minds could come, shop, learn and be. To help facilitate that, I have a few products here for sale. Things made with love and adoration, that Iíd like to share with you. If you're interested, take a look through my catalog.
