| ADORNED IN THUNDER Owned by Draycott Park (Thunderous Loki x Cloaked By Jewels) 1996 Black Oldenburg Stallion Stands 16.3 hh Stud, Dressage, Jumping Registration #: DPb41 HFDA Registration #157 |
Thunder is an incredible stallion. While some stallions are overpower by their own power and masculinity, challenging anything within fight feet from them, Thunder has that perfect balance, having the fire and determination to compete and win yet retaining that simple, understated grace which makes him so elegant and fluid. I know that he will pass this balanced disposition onto his foals, which is vitally important and perfect for the ideal sporthorse competitor. |

Although Oldenburgs are, perhaps, not very well-known in HF, I think they are some of the most athletic, beautiful horses available for demanding competition. They are ideal sporthorses because of their athleticism, beauty, and tractability, and they cross well with Warmbloods and Hotbloods (like Arabians and Thoroughbreds) to get that perfect English or Hunter horse. Thunder is no exception. He's a stunning stallion, and his movement is incredible. I love his strides, very long and fluid and exact--you'll never find Thunder missteping or being sloppy in his training. He's precise and creative, two very important aspects in the show ring. He will pass on his qualities to his foals, creating the perfect sporthorse for every occasion. Where some stallions fail, Thunder will rise and take everything in stride--from success to fame to beautiful foals--and do it all with the right amount of the fire and grace that defines him.

(Loki's Revenge x Storm Of Desire) Black Oldenburg Stallion Not in HF Like fire and brimstone, this stallion lived up to his fearsome name and dominated all as a three-day eventer and show jumper. He was known to have a fiery temper and needed a firm hand, but strangely this was not passed to his son. Rather, Thunder inherited his inexplicable talent for tackling all obstacles with fire and determination.
(Cloak N Dagger x Bejeweled Lady) Dark Bay Oldenburg Mare Not in HF A stunning mare, simply put. She passed on her excellent beauty to her sun, as well as her love for dressage. This mare showed extensively in dressag before returned home to Australia, where she was bred, to settle down and breed magnificent foals like Thunder. Truly a wonderful dam.
