I lived on Grandhaven and
then Doe Lane and went to Old Farms for a few years but
then moved away. While we lived on Doe Lane, Vinny was my
best friend. I missed him tremendously when we moved but
we did keep in touch for a while and we ran into each
other from time to time. Back when we were kids, though,
he LOVED motorcycles (had a real gas tank on his black
Huffy) and ice hockey. I wanna' say he was a big Rangers
fan but maybe it was the Islanders. I went to one game
with him. I'd have to look at my pictures -- he's wearing
what was I think his favorite t-shirt in one which had the
team iron on. I have so many memories from back then.
Going to Brother's Trattoria (Pizza)-- he got me into
pepperoni pizza, the movies -- back then one of them was
the Cat from Outer Space, where we would dance in the
isles prior to the movie starting and act all goofy. We
had so much fun as kids. I am thankful that we ran into
each other (briefly) in I THINK 1988. I wish I could've
talked to him for longer and tell him that he's such a big
and special part of my childhood that I will always
remember.
