"To see a World in a grain of sand And a Heaven in a Wild Flower, Hold Infinity in the Palm of your hand And Eternity in an Hour." - Auguries of Innocence

A Master of the Mythical

William Blake's paintings, illustrations, and poetry throughout his life gave people a very strange picture of how he saw the world.  As a young child Blake saw images and visions of god and angels, and though his parents at first tried to discourage him from saying such things, they eventually decided to help him bring out his visions by enrolling him in an art academy where he learned the skills that would eventually make him famous.  Blake throughout his life struggled to get by, because as with most artists, his works were not considered famous while he was still alive.
