My Bliss

A page about me would not be complete if I did not include my spiritual path. I do not proselytize and I do not expect everyone to accept or understand the course I have chosen. If you take nothing else with you when you leave this page, understand this: every person must choose his or her own individual path to the Divine. Whether you are part of an organized religion, a pagan group, or on a solitary quest, you must decide for yourself what path is right for you.

Joseph Campbell said, “Follow Your Bliss. If your bliss is just your fun and excitement, you're on the wrong track … Know where your bliss is. And that involves coming down to a deep place in yourself.” Are you following your bliss?

Still here? Piqued your curiosity, eh? Well, let’s see what I can do to answer some of those questions racing through your mind.

I am Pagan, a Witch, to be specific. I believe in Magick and pay homage to the Wheel of the Year as it reflects the cycle of Life. I honor both the God and the Goddess in all their manifestations, including myself. My beliefs include a very strong personal responsibility – there’s no such thing as “the devil made me do it.” In fact, I do not believe in a devil, or “Satan” – I am responsible for my actions, my values, my attitude, and my destiny.

As a Witch, I believe in Magick. No, I don’t pull rabbits out of a hat or put hexes on unsuspecting people. Magick, as explained by Aleister Crowley, is the science and art of causing change to occur in conformity with Will. Note, science and art – using elements and intuition to achieve the Will of the Soul. This is, of course, simplified. Want more? Rule one: Read, Research, Study. Everything. Always.

As a daughter of the Goddess, I celebrate the Wheel of the Year, the symbolic circle of life of the Goddess and Gods as witnessed in the ever changing, life renewing seasons. From birth to death to rebirth, Mother Earth is the best and simplest example of reincarnation. There are eight Sabbats, marking the seasons and life’s milestones, plus 13 Esbats, or full moons, that honor the many aspects of the Gods. Want more? Rule one: Read, Research, Study. Everything. Always.

As I said at the beginning of this page, I do not proselytize. I am not here to convert, simply to offer information. There are a multitude of spiritual paths, some well worn, some less traveled, all with something to offer. No one can tell you which path is right for you. Only you can know where you will find your bliss. Knowledge is the key and the way to that knowledge is as old as time: Read, Research, Study. Everything. Always.
