TDC VIII: R&R Take Home the Helmet
        

      After an exhausting 2 days of biking, barbecuing and BBall, the gold helmet of the 7th annual tour de court belongs to Sir Jonathan Rosenblatt and Elnatan (Verizner Wireless) Reisner. Rosenblatt and Reisner defeated Chanaan Weisman and Jon Plaut 4-1 in the best of seven championship series. For Yoni, the tournament MVP, the victory marked his 3rd consecutive title at this fabulous tournament, but he could not have gotten there without the brilliant play of Reisy (named the Tournament's most improved player). The champions survived the first day despite losing their first game to Noam and Neuman. Facing elimination, Reisner surprisingly led a furious comeback against Bergs and Burkom as he dropped in 12 big ones in their 22-20 victory. However, the second day was a breeze for this gritty team. In the elite eight they handily defeated the tired team of Josh Wolf and Joe Rombro and swept Steiny and Bendicoff 2-0 in the final four. They cruised through the first three games of the finals before dropping a close one in game 4. But demolished the smaller duo to take the crown in game 5. Weisman and Plaut advanced to the finals after receiving a forfeit victory in the elite eight (as a result of Neuman's broken wrist) and a 2 games to one semifinals victory against the scrappy team of Guttenberg and Spiegler.
