- Charles Whitman was born on June 24th 1941, in Lake Worth Florida. Charles came from a wealthy family with good intentions.
- Charles was taught to handle firearms at an early age.
- Whitman left for Basic Training for the Marines in Guantanamo Naval Base in Cuba on July 6th 1959.
- Excellence in the Marines was extremely important to Charles, due to the year of abuse from his father.
- On the morning of July 1st 1966, Charles killed his mother and wife.
- On that same morning, Charles sniped out civilians on the University of Texas campus, from the clock tower.
- Charles killed 15 inocent people, and wounded 31.
- The University of Texas's clock tower was closed to the public for 33 years, after this tragic event.
