In Loving Memory

July 14th, 1968 ~ December 10th, 2004

Loving son, grandson, nephew, cousin, brother, brother-in-law, uncle, husband, friend
I am not lost, but living still...
For dying merely frees us to walk in angels' gardens....
Hand-in-hand with Jesus.



If I could talk to each of you right now...
I would tell you that I love you.
I would ask you each not to cry for me
or anguish that we're apart.
I would hold you and wipe away your tears.
I would tell you how Blessed I am to have had you in my life,
to have known your beautiful hearts.
And I would take your hand and whisper softly,
"Please don't worry....For I cannot ever begin to describe the joy of being in our Father's arms. Our separation is but an instant in the eternity of love we share."

The Rose Beyond the Wall

Near a shady wall a rose once grew,
Budded and blossomed in God's free light,
Watered and fed by the morning dew,
Shedding it's sweetness day and night.

As it grew and blossomed fair and tall,
Slowly rising to loftier height,
It came to a crevice in the wall
Through which there shone a beam of light.

Onward it crept with added strength
With never a thought of fear or pride,
It followed the light through the crevice's length
And unfolded itself on the other side.

The light, the dew, the broadening view
Were found the same as they were before,
And it lost itself in beauties new,
Breathing it's fragrance more and more.

Shall claim of death cause us to grieve
And make our courage faint and fall?
Nay! Let us faith and hope receive--
The rose still grows beyond the wall,

Scattering fragrance far and wide
Just as it did in days of yore,
Just as it did on the other side,
Just as it will forevermore.

The Broken Chain

We little knew that morning
That God was going to call your name.
In life we loved you dearly,
In death we do the same.
It broke our hearts to lose you,
You did not go alone,
For part of us went with you
The day God called you home.
You left us special memories,
Your love is still our guide;
And though we cannot see you
You are always at our side.
Our family chain is broken,
And nothing seems the same
But as God calls us one by one
The Chain will link again.
