No Mercy Info WWF No Mercy is the follow up to THQ's hit game WWF Wrestlemania 2000, it runs off of the same engine, just with faster, and smoother graphics, the game is now 100% done and the release date for this game is on November 17, 2000. THQ has however said that they will be adding a ladder match, which wasn't in the game during its E3 preview. The game will star over 65 (Its currently told that the wrestler list will include over 80 WWF wrestlers) of the top WWF wrestlers includeng Tazz, Chris Jericho, HHH, The Rock, Rikishi, ect. Here is everything we know so far about the game modes and options, but remember, there may be more then just the ones posted here. Belts: Your wrestler will walk down to the ring with their belt. And if they have more than one, they will just bring them all down, one around the waist, one on the right shoulder, and one on the left shoulder. It is however rumored that the Dudelys will walk out with one around there neck. Instead of having one career mode, and having it based upon the world title, their will be six, for a quest to gain each belt in the WWF (Like the career mode from Revenge but alot better) The sad thing about the whole belt thing though is, THQ HAS REMOVED CREATE A BELT! Better-Create A Wrestler(CAW): We have just been told that the CAW in No Mercy will allow you to spec up your wrestler looks making it the most inhanced CAW in gaming history, its even said to beat Attitudes! Allowing you to choose from hands, feet, eyes, mouths, ears, noses, faces e.t.c, and still giving you a BIGGER move selection then the one from WM2K makes this sound GOOD! Making more of a WWF Attitude CAW, No Mercy will be the best, and most enhanced CAW THQ pumped out, you will virtually be able to create anyone on your mind. Its told that this will be the best CAW in video game history, but isn't that what we hear for every new video game? I'm sure Smackdown2 will have an even better one if you know where I'm going... But yes, this does seem like a pretty good CAW. The story lines: From what we've heard, the stories get more in depth with the wrestlers, its rumored that there is number one contender matches, the only thing is career will be one player, so you would have to make your own PPV for that, if this were SmackDown though, it would be a real good option. But on other bases, there will be more and better grudges, plot lines, ect. More info on the SmackDown Mall: The Smackdown mall is basically your one stop shop for hidden wrestlers, codes, ect. To get such things, you must first earn points to spend at the mall, to do so-you must win matches, ect. Another way to do it is by the GBC version of the game, and use the N64/GMC transfer pack, I guess this is supposed to be a faster way of getting points, THQ plans on making more than one No Mercy game for GBC, hopefully it isn't like Pokemon. Ladder Match: The ladder match will be just the same as what we see on the WWF shows, the ladder will start out on the entrance ramp, and wrestlers will battle it out in the ring at first, or just go for the ladder, which ever you want, the ladder can then be used as one of two things, one is a weapon, swinging it through the air smashing it into your opponent, setting it up, and catipaulting them through the air into the ladder, and slamming them on, or off of it, to win the match, you must walk the ladder to the center of the ring, set it up, and climb to the top, but be warned, its not that easy, your opponent could very well be on his feet, waiting for you to make it to the top of the ladder just to either jump from the top ropes, or knock you, and the ladder down, then go for the gold himself. Just the thought of this all out brawl match makes you wonder whats going to happen when you play, all the high flying, off the ladder, hard hitting, hardcore action of a ladder match controled by you, and not to spoil the fun by saying something about, the announcers table. Ringside: Other things we've learned more about is the tables at ring side, THQ has gave up, Good Ol' JR and The King wont be at ring side, however, the announcer tables have been left in and can be used during matches, from flying over the top rope and landing on them, power bombs and power slams from the top onto them, moves slamming your opponent onto them, and from what we've heard, moves done on top of the tables! There will be two tables set up side by side, which you can see in our pictures, one is for the spanish announcers table the other for the US announcers table The Weapons: WWF No Mercy will have all new weapons including Triple H's watter bottle, you will grab the weapons the same way you did in WM2K and Revenge (Through the crowd) however this time you can bash each other with the weapons as much as you want, after you're finished with the weapon it will fall, and stay on the ground allowing you to pick it up and use it again and again. Not to forget, we can always say the announcer tables are weapons also! Career Mode: Changing from the WM2K style of a career mode, going to an enhanced WCW/NWO Revenge season, before you begin you must select the belt you wish to go for (This is sadly a one player mode unless you go for the tag-titles, however create a PPV will bring the fun of a season four player mayhem show into your No Mercy cartridge) No Mercy's career mode will also hold long fueds and grudges with other wrestlers, say you go for the I.C. title as The Rock, Triple H might run out durring one of your matches and make you lose, this will then turn into a 'backstage grudge' HHH will continue to wall out and help the other person in your matches, and bicker and complain backstage in the new storyline mode which we hope will be a little better then Smackdown, other than that, can't wait for Smackdown! Each belt will have a different difficulty setting (European will be easy, I.C will be medium, and World will be Hard, although these are not all the belts in the game, its just an example) Guest Referee: Making a run in from WWF Smackdown for Playstation is the Special Guest Referee mode, which is a very 'edge of your seat' mode, you're the referee and can do what ever you want! Beat people up, count them out, pull a fast count or a slow count, the button used for counting as a ref will be Left-C, the first time its pressed you'll fall to the mat, the other three times you'll count, 1.. 2.. 3.. But, you don't have to count, hitting the Left-C button a total of three times only will make you're wrestler drop to the mat, and count, 1... 2... and stop screwing the pinner out of his/her victory, or you can fast count screwing the other player, or if you really want, you can be compleatly fair to both wrestlers and not start any grudges. The Roster, and the intros:It has been confirmed, there will be 80 wrestlers total including all of the hidden wrestlers, making this the biggest roster in videogame history, the roster includes every one under contract with the WWF, from The Rock and HHH to Bob Backlyn and Bull Buchanon. The game will also be the debut of the The Kat (Miss Kitty) Too Cool, Tazz, and about, 10 others!
