8-01-01 Galyon Returns to Practice

The Dolphins received some good news concerning the injuries plaguing their strong-side linebacker position.Scott Galyon, who was the projected starter entering the team’s offseason minicamps, returned to practice Tuesday for the first time since undergoing arthroscopic knee surgery in May.

7-30-01 Scrimmage Report

The Dolphins held scrimmage yesterday.Highlights were made by RB Autry Denson,who ran 50 yds. for a TD,RB Travis Minor rushed for a 58 yd. TD,CB Terry Cousin had the only INT.Jay Fiedler threw 2-for-7 for 13 yds.,Ray Lucas 4-of-6 for 44 yds.,and Josh Heupal 2-of-7 for 32 yds. and 1 INT. Fullback Matt Kalapinski led the receivers with two catches for 32 yards, while Oronde Gadsden caught a scrimmage-long pass of 26 yards.Safety Daryl Porter led the defense with a team-high four tackles, while Brock Marion and Tim Bowens each contributed three tackles. Cornerback Terry Cousin had the scrimmage's lone interception, while defensive ends Devon Finn and Adewale Ogunleye each had a sack.Thanks to MiamiDolphins.com
