About the 1972 Team |
||
The 1972 Miami Dolphins did
something no other team has ever done,and still hasn’t: Went a full
season,playoffs and Super Bowl included,without a loss.They had a perfect
record,14-0.After defeating Terry Bradshaw’s Pittsburg Steelers in the 1972
Championship game,they went into Super Bowl VII,and defeated Sonny Jurgenson’s
Washington Redskins.They were led by QBs Bob Griese and Earl Morrall,FB Larry
Csonka,RB Mercury Morris,WR Paul Warfield,Gs Larry Little and Bob Kuechenburg
on the offense.Their great defense was nicknamed the “No-Name Defense”,but
had LB Nick Buoniconti,DBs Jake Scott and Dick Anderson.This is a tribute to
the greatest team in NFL history.
