About the 1972 Team

The 1972 Miami Dolphins did something no other team has ever done,and still hasn’t: Went a full season,playoffs and Super Bowl included,without a loss.They had a perfect record,14-0.After defeating Terry Bradshaw’s Pittsburg Steelers in the 1972 Championship game,they went into Super Bowl VII,and defeated Sonny Jurgenson’s Washington Redskins.They were led by QBs Bob Griese and Earl Morrall,FB Larry Csonka,RB Mercury Morris,WR Paul Warfield,Gs Larry Little and Bob Kuechenburg on the offense.Their great defense was nicknamed the “No-Name Defense”,but had LB Nick Buoniconti,DBs Jake Scott and Dick Anderson.This is a tribute to the greatest team in NFL history.
