Just One Look Is Worth A Thousand Words

Since coming out to Florida one of the things I've noticed it the media. Of course, how can a person avoid noticing the media if their heart is still pumping? But, anyways, I've noticed that they have a lot of really old kind of businessess out here. May be it's the Southern appeal. But, everything has funny names like Winn Dixie, for example. Also, on the television, they keep playing these funky commercials. You know the really cheap kind. They would play those in California, too. But, only at like three o'clock in the morning. They have all these funky commercials for Ms. Cleo's psychic help hotline and Manhattan Suits. But, the one that really gets me is Florida's Center For Cosmetic Surgery and their logo is:

"Just one look is worth a thousand words."

And they have this really super corny jingle to go with it. What gets me about this one is that they have all these plastic women with tans and in thong bikinis rubbing oil on themselves and jumping up and down playing volley ball or something on a beach. I just think that there is no way they'd be able to play a commercial like that in California. Especially not in the Bay Area. It's just not politically correct enough. And, if you know me at all you'll know damn well I'm not politically correct, but my God! The commercial even makes me want to go get liposuction!

Cheers,
Lost
