2009 Asia China
We are now back in Hong Kong again after four more months of living in Beijing, China. In May, we had to slow down our sight seeing activities because Lisa/myself, got a stress fracture on my right foot, and couldn't put any weight on it for 8 weeks. It seems that in China we still can't update our websit. Anyway, here we have a few pictures from the last few months. Enjoy!

Hello Friends and Family, It seems we have been apart for a longtime since June 2008 till now-Dec 2008. Hello to all. We wish you the best. John and I are still traveling (life-experience) in Asia.In the beginning of June 2008, we left Hawaii to see the Olympic Games in Beijing China. On the way, we stopped to see Hong Kong, Bangkok, and Canton to sightsee, and visit family & relatives for almost a month. The Olympic Games in Beijing began on August 8, 2008. During the games, the government was really strict in allowing people to enter China and Beijing, even with visa.Their regulations required us to extend our China visas every 30 days. We were told by the visa office that people who leave Beijing and China would have a hard time getting back in. We are glad that we had a lot of sightseeing to do, and didn't have to leave the city.Beijing China is a magical place with all its history, beauty and splendor. The Olympic Games experience is almost the highest point in our life. We find that China is a huge country, and so we have continued, and still want to continue our dream of sightseeing in different provinces. We can’t believe that we have already been to so many places like Tianjin, Souzhou, Hangzhou, Shanghai, and Xian by train and joining tours. In Hong Kong, we have done some hiking in the New Territories, taken boat tours in the South China Sea, and seen a lot of the city that we didn’t see before because of not having enough time. We plan to stay a little longer in Asia, and this means that we won't be updating our website as much as before. We also want to say thank you to God for looking after us, and giving us all that we need.Friends and Family, John and I are wishing you have a wonderful year in 2009. We also wish you and your family health, and safety. The best regards, Lisa Lai Kwan & John Kirkpatrick
