When a young girl, Joan, with her mother, enjoyed attending "dinner on the grounds" gatherings at a church just out from New Brockton, Coffee County, Alabama. She also really enjoyed the family gatherings each year. She holds fond memories of these events. And, as all of us do, she wishes she could go back to days like those.

All of Joan's family is near and dear to her heart. Joan lost her grandmother in 1966; and her mother in 1981. She misses them very much, but holds very, very fond memories of them.

Joan's dearest friend in adulthood and recent years was Donna __surname. She lost her on February 4th, 1998. She misses her tremendously.
