Hot end view. This is the underside as well. Both tanks were soldered onto the core, so the hot end had to be modified to eliminate the solder. Instead it was crimped into place. Copper plate blocks the holes created when the rad was cut in half, and they are simply riveted into place. The pipe seen coming up the side of the unit is in case an emission test is invalid with the water content removed.
