Hail the Conquering Hero!

Dickster the Trickster - Winner of auction tickets and a kick in the shins next time I see him (web wench?)

POSTED AUGUST 5th...Congratulations to the following ReunionEars for their stellar effort to obtain auction tickets: DICK PARIDON, our 1st winner this year, 10 tickets!!!...TOM GARDNER, 10 tickets and LARRY CONOVER, (Betty and Dick's son), 5 tickets!!! Way to read your email and sign the guestbook guys!!!

POSTED JULY 24TH...After much discussion we have changed the location of ReunionEars 2009 in honor of BETTY and DICK CONOVER. We will be traveling to the great state of Indiana, specifically the Winona Lake area, for a fun-filled week. Many of you thought that Betty and Dick really didn't have any children because you never saw them at the reunions and that they just made them up for conversation. Well...guess what...you will have a chance to meet not one, not two, but three Jones-Conover offspring and an assorted menagerie of spouses and grandkids. We, along with the Indiana team, are laying the groundwork for what we all feel will be a pretty spectacular week. Thank you BETTY, DICK and TERRY for a great meeting and all of your advance work! All of the Ohio team, consisting of the PARIDONS and EVANS and us, also held our first meeting 2 weeks ago and have already come up with our secret signal to be used for admission into future meetings. While this reunion will be a little more relaxing than the hectic pace of Disney that we all know and love, we promise that it will be filled with lots of surprises, old favorites, a celebrity or two, good food, a little nostalgia, and most importantly, great people. Many more announcements to come as plans are put in place, so be sure to check this site often. Once again, STACY, our web master, has designed the site and set up our guestbook and we are hoping you will all post on it frequently (thank you DICK PARIDON and TOM GARDNER for keeping it going in 2006). Stay tuned for further details. P.S...the first person to sign our guestbook for this NEW ANNOUNCEMENT gets 10 auction tickets! It is never to early to start saving them up. Just ask KAREN HELLER!! See below.

POSTED OCTOBER 19TH...Congratulations to Karen Heller (Laura Gainey's sister) for being the first to sign our guestbook this year!!! Way to read that email Karen!! Karen wasn't able to be at Reunion '06, but we sure hope she will be there in '09, especially since she is already racking up the auction tickets and everyone who met her in '04 missed her in '06.

CHECK BELOW FOR OUR FINAL POST OF 2006

POSTED DECEMBER 20th...It's really sad to see the countdown calendar down to zero :( I guess we will have to start planning the next one! THANKS to everyone who made our dream come true again. We loved seeing all of you, family and friends, and spending time with everyone in our favorite place. Thank you Betty and Dick, we will always remember the two of you in pirate costumes and Uncle Dick dancing up a storm at the deck party. You guys ROCK!!! Thank you Kathie and Bill for your ReunionEar spirit from the moment you arrived till the moment you left. We appreciated your enthusiasm more than you know. We also learned that lemon is NOT a fruit :) Thank you Jamie and Tom, your presence meant sooooo much to us. Your pirate costumes far exceeded our expectations, you looked great! Thank you Barb and Dick, our loyal friends, for everything you have done and continue to do for us. The reunion would NOT be the same without you. Thank you Tina and Mike for sharing your family time with us. We enjoyed having you! Thank you Todd for being a part of our group and sharing your amazing talent with us...you ARE the legendary Elvis. Thank you Donna T., for joining our group and making the drive down from Georgia to spend time with Dick and the rest of the ReunionEars. I hope you found new things to love about Disney! Thank you Kathy and Evans, we are so blessed to have you as our good friends. We all missed you on the cruise! Thank you Laura and Mike, voted Mr. and Mrs. Congeniality. Everyone loved spending time with you. Thank you David and Audrey, we always enjoy being with you. We are available for adoption should you ever decide you would like "older" children. Thank you Cathy with a "C", our photographer. You assisted us in every way any one person can assist another person. Whatever we asked, you were there helping. We could not have pulled it off without you. Thank you Larry and Donna, while we didn't get to spend much time together, we are so grateful that you made the trip down to celebrate with Stacy. Thank you Stacy, we are so proud of you and all of your many accomplishments. You were the catalyst that started the plans for reunion #2. Thank you Nils, for always supporting Stacy and being the laid back easy going ReunionEar that you are. Thank you firefighter Jared (I had to throw that in), you also gave us cause for great celebration this year. We were glad you could make it to at least a part of the festivities. We owe you a cruise! And thanks to all of our special guests: my niece Vanessa and her husband Jason, Regis and Janet Paridon, and Shawn and Dara Ratner, our videographers, it was great seeing all of you again.

THINGS WE LEARNED AT REUNION 2006: Lemon is not a fruit, all women love Johnny Depp, Elvis only won 3 grammies, all for gospel music, Kathie Faucett and Uncle Dick could both qualify as contestants on Dancing with the Stars, Tom needs dental work, Santa brings out the kid in everyone, Doris was there in spirit, Mark schmoozes and women give him cake, The Urgent Care in Lake Buena Vista is open till midnight (thank god!), and Palo is a 2 1/2 hour gastronomical experience. Please feel free to add more of your own in our guestbook. Signing off...Hope you all had as much fun as we did. Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, Happy New Year. We love you all and your participation in this years reunion gave us the best present ever. M.I.C...see you real soon, K.E.Y... why?, because we like you... M.O.U.S.E

Why do we go to Disney? "Walt Disney probably did more to heal or at least to soothe the troubled human spirits than all the psychiatrists in the world." Eric Sevareid on the CBS Evening News on the eve of Walt's death

EVEN THOUGH WE ARE NOT GOING TO DISNEY IN '09, WERE BRINGING THE DISNEY SPIRIT TO INDIANA !!! SEE YOU REAL SOON!!! ITS JUST AROUND THE CORNER!!!
