This is a site I put together to hold some of the material I have generated on Radio Controlled Helicopters. I picked up this hobby a couple years ago after moving into my first 'deed restricted community' and found that the neighbors probably wouldn't tolerate an RC Plane buzzing around overhead and things were just too crowded for how much space to takes to fly a plane (that's besides all the AMA infringements!). I was in between flying clubs at the time and wanted to 'play' with something new.

About this time, I heard the familiar buzzing of a model engine and trudged through the back of the lot into my neighbors yard and found one of the 'kids' attempting to hover an Xcell 60.

This guy made the big mistake of letting me try out his mechanical marvel and after a few turns around the cul-de-sac, I was hooked (and no, I didn't crash his). The next weekend it was down to the hobby shop where I picked up a used Shuttle (which I still have and fly).

I have flown several other different types of RC helis, which include a Kalt Alpha gasser, Thunder Tiger Raptor 30, and my current stable of a Robbe Millennium, Vario Benzin Trainer (G23), Vario Benzin Trainer (G230), Vario SkyFox and Vario Xtreme. The SkyFox has an Alternate home in the Vario Tiger fuselage and the G23 Benzin will be the mechanics for the new Vario BK117. The Xtreme was bought to replace the Millennium as a daily flyer, but I still have the Milli..

I'm no expert flyer and still have a lot to learn. But boy, this is a great way to spend some coin and get some excitement and personal satisfaction!
