Hello & Welcome to this Dreadlock website. I've made this site, because I feel that there is not one single website out there that has everything you want to know about dreadlocks and how to take care of them! Most sites out there say use KnottyBoy or DreadheadHQ, well I'm here to tell you their products okay but they are certainly not necessary. You don't need dread wax, dread shampoo, or dread locking accelerator to start or have dreadlocks! That goes with ANY hair type! The only thing you need is something that money can't buy.... TIME & PATIENCE. Wax is particularly not needed, please see my wax section.
The site is mainly going to be a FAQ & remedies for common dreadlock problems. Also this website will contain a deadlock exchane(which I think can be fun... please check it out), product & accessory suggests & polls,the biggest dreadlock link section and so much more!
I would also like to let you know, when I first got my dreads, I was a complete dumb bunny when it came to dreadlocks. I started off with DreadheadHQ's wax.. Big mistake! Dreadlocks are a learning experience, I know I'm still learning. My very best advice I've received is "leave your hair alone" and "have LOTS of patience" and just keep it natural & simple! Also don't sweat about the loose hairs, lumps/loops or how tight they are, because everything will fix they're self in dew time.... and if not, so what!! Dreads aren't suppose to be perfect, if you want a 'perfect' hairstyle, dreadlocks are not for you.
