Dahmer: Insane?
Childhood
Jeffery Lionel Dahmer was born Novmber 28th, 1960. He was born into a well-rounded family. His father was studying Chemistry at a University while his mother was a teletype machine operator.
When Jeffery was four years old, he was subjected to a double hernia operation, which was to have a tragic effect on his developing personality. After this operation, he acted "differently" towards other kids of his age, because he discovered the world of death. One day he watched as his father swept out from under their house the remains of dead animals. Jeff seemed "oddly thrilled by the sound they made".
Jeff would also ride around with plastic garbage bags and collect the remains of animals. He would strip the flesh from the bodies and even mount a dog's head on a stake. However, he did not torture them.
During his teenage years he became a loner, experiementing with alcohol and drugs, and eventually pushed away what few friends he had. As the years went on and times worrsened, Dahmer decided to enlist himself into the army. He only lasted a short term, because of his inability to stay sober.
He Get's Caught
Dahmer tempts Tracy Edwards into his apartment where he gives him a cocktail to make him drowsy. Dahmer tries to make sexual advances toward him, but Tracy starts to struggled when Dahmer slips handcuffs onto his right arm. As Dahmer went for a knife, Tracy made a run for the unlocked door. Dahmer tried to pull him back inside, when a brawl started and Dahmer was hit on the side of his head, knocking him to the floor. Tracy then escaped and ran to the street where he flagged down a patrol car. The cops where let into Dahmer's chamber of horrors. What the cops saw lingered in their minds for the rest of their lives. There were pictures of various stages of dismemberment. The fridge had three bags containing hearts, flesh, and portions of muscle. The freezer contained free heads, a human torso, and a bag containing flesh and some internal organs. The cuppord contained various chemicals and two bleached skulls. On the floor there was a large kettle containing two hands, a penis, and testicles. There were three more skulls found in a filing cabinet. A wardrobe contained a complete skeleton, dried human scalp, and more genitals. In a box there were two more skulls. Next to the box there were 260 liters of acid. The police found 3 human torsos in various stages of dismemberment.
Sentence
Dahmer was sentenced for a total of 1070 years in jail for killing, comitting necrophillia and cannibalism of 17 people. Dahmer was ordered to clean the shower block. He and a friend were attacked by inmates carrying broomsticks. While no one was looking, the two of them were beat to death with not only the broomstick, but weights from the gym. At his mothers request, his brain was preserved in formaldehyde for future study.
