Felicia:

Monday morning came and so did the movers. Steph and I were there to tell them what things were and all that stuff. For the time being, all my stuff is going into storage while I find an apartment.

It was around 8:45pm when they finished and my apartment was empty.

"Man, I’m going to miss this place." I sighed, sitting on the counter in the kitchen.

"Then don’t move." Steph said.

"I have to. This is a good opportunity. Besides even if I wanted to stay, I can’t now. All my stuff is headed to New York right now."

"I guess you’re right."

"Hey, if you’re worried about not seeing me again, don’t be. You’ll see me again and we’ll always be friends. You’re my best friend, Steph. We’ll never stop being friends no matter what, ok?"

"Ok, you better call me the minute you get there and the minute you get your phone hooked up."

"I will, you’ll be the first person I call."

"Ok, good. Well, let’s go get something to eat. I’m starving."

"So am I."

We left the empty apartment and I locked it for the last time. We got into Steph’s car and headed to Taco Bell. My car had been taken to New York with all my things, so I had to bum rides from everyone for a week.

We got to Taco Bell and went through drive thru. After we got the food, Steph took me to Nick’s and dropped me off, because Gavin called while we were at Taco Bell.

"Bye Steph, I’ll see you tomorrow. Thanks for everything." I said, getting out of the car.

"No prob, Felicia. See ya later. Tell Nick Hi for me."

"Will do. Bye."

"Bye." I closed the door and walked up to Nick’s door. I rang the doorbell and waited for someone to answer. I sipped my soda while I waited. About 3 minutes later, Amanda opened the door. I waved to Steph and she pulled out of the driveway.

"Hey Felicia, come in." She opened the door wider to let me in. I walked in and followed her to the kitchen.

"The guys and I were playing cards. Want to join us?"

"Maybe later. I’m gonna eat first, coz I’m starving."

"Ok." Amanda sat back where she was and I sat at the island.

"How’d today go?" Nick asked, looking at his cards.

"Pretty good. The movers got everything and right now all my stuff is headed up to New York."

"That’s cool." I nodded in agreement while I munched on my nachos.

"When do you go up there?" Amanda asked.

"Friday."

"Wow, that soon, huh?"

"Yeah, I still have to find an apartment and all that."

"True. Well, we’ll all miss you." Brian said.

"Thanks; I’ll miss you all too. But don’t worry, you’ll all see me again."

"Yep, and we’ll come visit you whenever we’re in NY for tour, or whatever."

"I know."

I finished my nachos and threw my trash away. And joined them.

"Hey, let’s play spades!" I exclaimed, then laughed.

"Alright. Amanda and Brian are partners and you and I are partners."

"Fair enough."

Brian shuffled the cards and delt them out. We played for about 3 hours, Nick and I were losing, but not badly. Around 1:15am we decided to quit.

"Man, it’s that late already?" Brian said, yawning and stretching.

"Yeah, time flies when you’re having fun. Didn’t you know that, Bri?" I said, laughing.

"Yes, I did know that, thank you very much Felicia."

"You’re welcome."

"Alright, you two. Anyway, Bri let’s go and let these two get some sleep. The keyword being, try."

"Hey, what’s that supposed to mean?!" Nick asked.

"Nothing, just that I know you two talk forever. You’ll never get any sleep."

"Yeah, whatever Amanda." I stuck my tongue out at her and she did the same.

"C’mon Amanda. We’ll see you guys later. Bye." Brian pulled Amanda out the kitchen. Nick and I walked them to the door.

"We’ll see ya later. Drive safely. Night." I said.

"Night, sleep tight."

"Bye." Brian waved, as they walked out the door to the car. They got in and drove out of the driveway. Nick closed and locked the door.

I yawned as I walked to the living room.

"You know, I’m exhausted. I think I’m going to go hi the sack. Is that ok?" I turned to look at Nick and he seems to have spaced out.

"Nick! Hello, you still in there?" I waved my hand in front of his face.

"Huh? What?"

"You spaced out there. You ok?"

"Yeah, I’m fine."

"Ok, well I’m going to bed, coz I’m exhausted. I’ll see you in the morning."

"Ok, I’m going as well." We went upstairs and went into our separate rooms. I got changed into my pajamas and brushed my teeth. I got my book and laid down, opening my book and began to read...

Nick:

The next day I woke up around 1. I got out of bed and put a t-shirt on. I walked out of my room and walked past Felicia’s room. It was quiet in there, so I opened the door to check on her. I looked over at the bed and saw her still sleeping. She had a book in her lap. I walked over to her and took the book out of her lap and placed it on the nightstand next to the bed. I just looked at her for a few minutes and all of a sudden this feeling came over me. I don’t know what it was, but knew that I’ve never felt it before. I shook my head to try and get that feeling out. I started walking out of the room when I heard her talk.

"Hey Nick, what’s up?" I turned around and smiled at her.

"Nothing much. I just came to check on you. I just woke up not long ago."

"Yeah, I can tell. Your hair is a mess" She laughed.

"Gee, thanks for pointing that out. Well, I’m going to take a shower. I’ll be out soon."

"Ok."

I walked out of her room and back into mine. Totally forgetting about that feeling I felt earlier.

I got into the shower and 15 minutes later I finished got out and dressed in blue jeans and a plain white wife beater. I went downstairs and smelled something good. I also heard music being played. I walked into the kitchen and saw Felicia at the stove, swaying to the music that was playing.

"Hey, whatcha cooking?" I asked, standing next to her.

"Pancakes, though I know it’s 1 in the afternoon." She laughed, a little.

"But it’s still good. Smells good."

"Thanks, hope it tastes good too."

"I’m sure it will. So, who are you listening to?"

"Westlife. They have good songs I can make dances to."

"Oh, and we don’t?"

"I never said that, Carter. Besides, would you want to hear your own music in your own house?"

"Maybe, you never know."

"Ha, I find that hard to believe."

"Fine, believe whatever you want. I don’t care."

"Just shut up and eat your pancakes. And be honest if they taste really bad." She handed me a plate with a stack of 3 pancakes. I sat at the island and put butter and syrup on them and then began to eat them. They were really good.

"Wow, these are really good. You can cook girl!"

"Really? They’re good? You’re not just saying that, are you?"

"Would I lie?"

"I dunno, would you?"

"Come here and see for yourself." She walked over to me and I gave her some.

"Wow, you’re right. They are good. I never knew I could cook that good."

"You should be a cook instead."

"No thanks; dancing is my first love."

"Fine, it was worth a shot."

"Yep, eat all you want. I’m gonna go get a shower. Be back soon."

"Ok."

She ran upstairs and I finished the pancakes she gave me. When I finished I put the dishes into my sink and went into my studio. I had Felicia’s Westlife CD and decided to make a mix of songs. About an hour later I finished making the CD and went into the living room where I found her watching TV.

"Hey, where have you been?"

"In the studio. I was working on a song."

"Oh, cool. Can I hear it?"

"Nope, not yet. When it’s finished you can."

"Ok. What do you want to do?"

"I dunno." She laughed, changing the channel on the TV.

We finally decided to go to the mall for a while. Then we went to dinner at McDonalds and back home. Then day went by pretty quickly. Wednesday came and Felicia spent it with Steph. I spent most of it with Brian, AJ, Howie, and Kevin. All the girls were out shopping.

"Man, only one more day and Felicia is gone." I sighed, sitting on Brian’s leather couch.

"Aw, you’re gonna miss her, aren’t you?" Kevin asked. Was he dense or something?

"Duh! She’s one of my best friends. Of course I’m gonna miss her."

"Sorry man, geez. Don’t get all bent out of shape."

"Sorry, didn’t mean to."

"Don’t worry ‘bout it. Nick, it’s ok. We’re all going to miss her. She’s become our friend too." Howie said.

"Yeah, I know. It’ll be weird, but I’ll get used to it."

"Hey, let’s play some poker to get your mind off it, ok?" AJ asked.

"Sounds good to me."

We played poker for a while and the girls came home. I decided to go home myself and do some thinking. I got home and the rest of the night I spent thinking about everything.

Unfortunately the week went by quickly and Friday came. All of us were at the airport to see Felicia off.

"Flight 792 to New York now boarding." They called over the intercom.

"Well, that’s my flight. I’m going to miss all of you." She got up and hugged Kevin first, then Kristin, Dani, Brian, AJ, Amanda, Howie, Laura, and Steph. She hugged Steph for almost 5 minutes. They let go and she looked at me.

"Well, Nicky don’t get into too much trouble."

"Don’t worry, I won’t. You take care of yourself."

"I will, promise. You do the same. I’m going to miss you."

"Me too. Here, I got you something, but don’t open it ‘til you get on the plane."

"Ok, I won’t" She took it and then hugged me. For some reason I didn’t want to let go, but her flight was called again and I had to. She walked to the gate, gave the woman her ticket and disappeared into the plane. I stayed ‘til the plane took off and then all of us went home...
