~Happy Father's Day 2001~
It is that time of year
For us to honor our Dads.
And I know without a doubt,
That I've got the best that's to be had.
You were there for me,
In times of joy and sorrow.
I pray your life will be,
Full of many happy tomorrows.
When I was but a wee little girl,
And my eyes shined with girlish delight,
You made my world seem a safer place,
And guarded me through the night.
And like the guardian angel,
The one who's pictured here,
You always made my world seem bright,
And my love for you grows each year.
You've always been my knight in armor,
And this still holds true today,
You helped to mold and guide me,
When I've stumbled along the way.
So today Dad, I just want to tell you,
How very much you mean to me,
And just how great a Dad I know you are,
To all of us, your fam..i..ly.
For Daddy, I loved you then,
And I love you today,
And will for all eternity,
And I thank you God for saving,
the VERY BEST of fathers' for me.
