Edward Hopper

Well people, I guess I’ll just say it; to me Edward Hopper is the best American painter that this country has ever had. I am not saying that Norman Rockwell was not an incredible artist himself because that guy is just amazing. It is just that Hopper has something that mesmerizes many other people and me. Hopper has a style all on his own and he can maneuver it so well that each painting is like a different personality on each own. Even though they are similar you can really tell the difference and you can soak up the meaning of what this painter was trying to do to you. Vettriano has a similar style to Hopper, but Hopper is more diverse and the scenery has everything to do with what you feel from the painting.

Without further ado I give you Hopper…
