I keep thinking back to 
A time gone by.
I look at faces of
People that
I once thought of
Friends.
I wonder...

Where are they now?
Have they achieved
That goal that
They were going to
Work so hard for? 
Do they still have
The eighties hairdo? 

I knew some of them
From elementary school,
And then others not
So long.
Back then we thought
We would always be
Friends...
Back then we thought
We knew it all.

I know some have died,
It happened right after
High School...
I know some have been
Married...and then divorced.
I know some have gone
To war...
Fighting the good fight...
And then loosing the
Battle at home. 

I've often wondered if 
Someone has tried to look 
Me up...longing for that
Long lost friend. 
I wonder...
