The Nothingness

I looked to see if I could please,
But I came upon the Nothingness.
I pleaded..
I retreated..
I stepped into the Nothingness.

I looked to see if I could be seen.
The Nothingness was dense like
The smog that covers a
Big city.
I was lost,
But not confused.

I took comfort in the Nothingness,
Knowing that one day I would
Have to return.
I would have to breath again
One day..
One day soon.

The Nothingness retreated
Leaving marks that danced
Upon my skin.
I showered,
I dried.
I shielded my eyes from the
Sun that warmed my skin.
