During this epoch sea level rose and fell several times inundating the land. Ocean currents shifted causing extremely phosphate rich deposits. Some of these fossils came from a phosphate mine. I bought the horse fossils and the broken Carcharodon megalodon tooth so I am not positive that they are actually from the Bone valley formation. However I have found both horse teeth and megalodon teeth in this formation, so I am including them in with this group.
