Let's make a Web Page
I reckon you are here because ya wanna make a web page, Right? Well, Hell's bell's Loretta, we are both on the same page of da book so I reckon we are off to a good start:-) There's a couple of things we are gonna do before we can make a web page so let's get started!
Preparation:
1. HTML Editor : We gots to make sure we gots da tools fer making da web page. There are many HTML editors but for these tutorials, I am gonna be using Microsoft FrontPage Express. Our First step will be to download and Install Microsoft FrontPage Express.
2. Web Site : We have to have a place to upload our web page. Most of our servers allow us a small amount of space for a personalized web page and there are several places on the Internet where you can have a limited amount of space with advertisements for a Free Web site. If you need more space and you don't won't the advertisements, you can have it by paying a fee. For these tutorials, we are going to use "Angelfire" for our Web site.
3. Web Site Theme : What's your plan, Sam? Why do ya want a web page? Whatcha gonna put on da web page? You have been out dare on da Internet so you know there's all kinds of different web pages.What do YOU plan to do wif a web page? Ya gonna upload Tutorials for creating a web page using Front Page Express? You gonna have a stationery page where utters can download stationery? You gonna have web pages wif your family pictures? You gotta have a Theme, darlin.
Now, let me susplain sumptin to ya Lucy! I ain't a taken ya to raise so let's learn right here from da start what I wanna do fer ya :-) And let me also add, every one is different on how they create and save their folders and files fer da web page and dare ain't no right or wrong way to do it. I am gonna show ya how and why I do it my way.
Front PageExpress: I am gonna provide a link fer ya to download FrontPage Express (FPExpress) and I will give instructions fer ya to install FPExpress. And ifa ya Real Nice to me, I will show you how to use FPExpress to create the web page.
Angelfire : I will show you how to create a membership on Angelfire. Shucks, ifa yur REALLY nice, I will even show ya How to upload da web page you created in FPExpress so da world can see it :-)
Web Page : I will show you how to use FPExpress to create a web page wif a background image and sound. I am gonna show ya how to hyperlink text and images. Shucks, I might even show ya how to hyperlink a zip file. I am gonna even show ya how to link one page to a nutter page so yur first web page ain't 20 pages long like my first one was until I learned how to link one page to a nutter page :-)
